These following are some measurements for Fiio BR15 R2R DAC, priced @200$.
These were captured using cheap E1/2 OTG with REW.

Fiio Published parameters:
RCA Out: 2.2 v THD + N: About 0.017% (1kHz/0dB@10KΩ)
XLR Out: 4.4 v, THD + N: About 0.015% (1kHz/0dB@10KΩ)

THD+N matches near to published parameter i.e., about -74dB.

Adding some measurements from MultiTone Analyzer
--------------------------------------------------------------

BR15 Over Sampling (OS) Mode - THD+N @ -6dBFS & -12dBFS

BR15 NON Over Sampling (NOS) Mode - THD+N @ -6dBFS & -12dBFS

MultiTone Analyzer allows different ASIO drivers to be used and I have Fiio & Topping's drivers here.
Noise / SNR is measured better here however THD + N are just marginally different.

Enjoy

Interesting measurements, thank you. Quite disappointing results though. Most 1990 CD players were better than than this!

I had thought about ordering one of these to get blue tooth and replace my Modi 3+. Now hmm.

Just added some quick RTA measurements from MultiTone Analyzer as well.

Not remotely competitive with the cheaper E50 II which also have built in PEQ via phone app using BT
Was planning to get a WiiM Mini since I will mostly use Spotify in this bedroom set up. I think it has PEQ.

How ever I could just Bluetooth into this with LDAC I suppose.

What's interesting is the amount of mains noise reduction by the use of ASIO drivers (the Multitone Analyzer charts) .

It's not the first time I've seen it, it seems that the way ASIO drivers exclude all other audio does a little magic there.

Hello everybody !
I have this Fiio Br15 Dac and is great! I would like to connect a subwoofer to it so it is possible to use all the 3 analog outputs at the same time ? Ex: rca 1 to tube preamp headphone, rca 2 to subwoofer and xlr to an stereo amplifier?
Any drawbacks with this configuration?
Thanks a lot!

It should work without any issues.

Thanks Guddu!
I ask because it seems that a voltage drop happens so a drop in sound quality when rca+xlr output are connected.
Is it also happening on both dual rca outputs only without xlrs? I just want to make sure before buying some nice quality cables to make everything working perfectly!

I don't think the voltage drop will happen here, I can try to test later in the day.

Thank you Guddu!
So no power drop when xlr and rca outputs are used at the same time or only when both rcas are used together?

I checked RCAs only but I really don't think there would be any drops, that issue is normally with passive splitters. Active/powered devices like this don't have such issues.

Hello,
After testing, the xlr power drops to rca power when both are connected but the sound caracter is not really impacted. Just need a bit more juice from the amplifier.
