Fiio Air Amp - TPA3255 amplifier + ESS9020Q DAC + Streamer | New Product

I would love to know why. Apologies but my original post was meant to be a bit of a comment on the “all amps sound same” posts from above.

So, you are saying #59 you were being sarcastic, not sincere?

Without an /s flag that is very confusing to members

If that's the case then it is indeed not an option.

About the (analog) dials. Those are often imprecise so for proper integration you need measurements and try-and-error. That's why digital crossover in amp/dac with sub out is kind of big deal. It makes subwoofer integration both easier and better.
Sure, digital is better for a few reasons, but ... why am I even defending myself here, you're the one who said something wrong, LOL nice deflection, you just moved the goalposts to shortstop.

I'm not here to argue or attack you. I'm not even sure what's a contention point. All I'm saying is that having digital crossover in this kind of device is very useful feature. It's a cheap amp that will be paired with rather cheap subwoofer without DSP. So Wiim remains unbeaten in 2.1 setup scenario.

This seemed interesting for some in wall speakers I have in my bedroom... No Spotify/Quboz/Tidal connect tho?

No Connect support, just Roon, DLNA/UPnP, AirPlay, and something called QPlay.

I have a question,
I just ordered one to pair with Polk R200 speakers (also just ordered).
I plan to use these at my TV and mainly care about clear voice there.
It comes with a 48V/5A power adapter. I read a 48/10 might improve things.
I am not worried as to volume, but voice clarity.
Any thoughts?

86dB, 3.8ohms minimum impedance. How big is your room and how far away are you sitting? It’s very likely not going to benefit from a bigger power supply.

I sit maybe 8 feet away, volume is no problem. Having older ears, voice quality is the goal. Right now have Kliptch The Nines there and with the FXSound equalizer on my computer, the sound is good. Keeping The Nines connected is a pain, no matter how I hook them in. I am ready for a change.
Thanks for your reply.

You’ll be fine with the 48V/5A stock PSU.

I got this in and hooked it to the computer that runs my TV.
With the Polk R200 speakers the vocal sound is clear (main goal).
The bass joins in as needed.

I would recommend this amp/dac/pre to any needing something like this.
Is it audiophile level - ?? Maybe in a different system, but I am just an audionut.
