Here Edie Adams does a comedic version of it with a pout at the end when she has to "go low" rather than high , one octave up.
I note that in the above videos the sopranos go low on the last note. On the Kotekan version the woman singing it goes high and it probably is the highest note I have heard sung successfully. I think she may have "ad libbed" that because she could.
The fact that she went up made me curious. I dug the album out. The soprano was Renee Grant-Williams. She is now in Nashville where
she is a major voice coach.
