I was born in Salzburg, Austria. I also happened to be there when they were filming it. (I was 5 & turned 6 while I was there at that time). Growing up I was taken to many live music events and my mother sang with a group of other European Women who did several events (October Fests or things like you would find in Helen, GA) around the Charleston, SC area in the 60's, 70's & 80's. I did not realize how lucky I was to go see all this live music in Charleston, SC & in Salzburg, Austria until I was an adult. We only had one console stereo, an old grundig (which certainly had that fat tube sound, all tube unit) , and my sisters played the sound of music soundtrack until even I knew and liked many of the songs. And I did like the movie at the time, it actually had kids in it, like I was at the time.
It's probably a good thing nobody told her:How about the aria by the Diva in "The Fifth Element"? "The Voice" Belongs to an Albanian opera singer named Inva Mula Tchako. They ONLY edited the part where the pitches changes (towards the end, because a human voice can't change pitches that fast).
