Feel the distortion

How about someone that knows distortion and mixing, could take a public domain 10 sec music clip and take the typical distortion products of a typical speaker and repeat the clip each time with increasing the distortion 5 db?

Theoretically, yes. The question, then, is what kind of distortion? Am I focusing it on even harmonics? Odd harmonics? Symmetric or asymmetric clipping? How hard is the clipping in question? What is the device in question that's distorting (i.e. tube/transistor/op amp)? How is it distorting (grid clipping/blocking distortion/bias shift for tubes for example)?
