Faital 12fh500 2 way project

hello everyone looking to build a 2 way that will be crossed at 80hz with subwoofers, I do already have the horn , it can be used from 600hz , I did find this driver my goal is to use it in a closed box (12fh500) the driver used in the horn will be the BMS 4554 , does the faital work well in a closed box? I do know the ideal is a bass reflex enclosure but I don’t need the LF under 80hz and I would like to keep it compact , and I think this pro woofer is very good, what do you think? Could it work in 35 liters? Thanks

this driver has an EBP of 173 hz ( all drivers list EBP as one of the TS parameters ) which means that without a bass reflex port it will begin to lose output below 173 hz

Or just have a look at the Qts. 0.25 is way too low for a closed box.

Then again, if you boost the low end, it might work out. You have a bit of Xmax to play with. But why not just reflex it? With the x-over at 80Hz, it ahould be just fine.

guys i did buy the faital 12fh520! in the end i found a great deal used as new paid almost half for 2, it will be done in a reflex enclosure! i will keep updated in the future!

What horn do you have? 600Hz seems too low for a 4554 driver.

i will use the 460g2 from ath4 with the throat extender 6-700hz
