Extreme Snake Oil

I think this Youtube video is fitting for this thread.

He seems very proud of his mains cable...

This guy is perhaps the most cable-obsessed audiophile I’ve come across - having seen his videos and having interacted with him somewhat on a forum.

And it won’t be a surprise to anybody that he’s an absolute jerk to anyone raising skeptical questions.

should this be in the hall of extreme snake oil ? it uses fins , what like shark fins or shark oil ?

so in this video its about another soundbar that are useless for home cinema , it has fins like shark fins that open up and close over the front of the speaker sort of like window blinds kinder of useless

Remember 'A to Z in Audio' by Gilbert Arthur Briggs (1890 – 9 January 1978).
Which clearly showed us that the listener prefers the most rotten speaker (strong coloration, absence of internal damping)...
I myself liked the Ditton 66.

Man! There is some truly whack stuff on that site!

" PUT ON AND DIVE IN. UNCOVER UNBELIEVED DEPTHS AND SUBTLE DETAILS IN THE RECORDINGS!

Each individual bridge is processed separately, and two years of research were carried out to ensure that the frequency bands do not mix. Like a keyboard from 0 to 50,000 Hz, each note is cleaned. The exposure time is a few days, as a huge cleaning process is started. The end result is a reproduction over and over again with more crescent and details in the reproduction.
Everything becomes more tangible in the room before your eyes. Fascinating.
Can be used on and under all devices and speakers."

I sometimes think about buying a cheap job lot of something and marketing it as an audiophile wonder product at an insane mark-up.

Might do that when I retire.

Do the fins rotate, like those on a pipe organ, to control the volume?
i think sound will reflect on the fins making for a dreadful sound , if it was that great , george lucas would have it in his stag theatre , just another snake soundbar oil of junk , i doubt it can do proper JBL THX TAP SPL 70mm Empire 1 levels

A fantastic site, new to me : https://pt.audio/
I learned that the ZYX brand has beaten my record price for a cartridge, their latest model (several come out each year) is close to $17,000.
Otherwise, a photo where they dare to show a stock power cord. Incredible !

Actually it isn't. The phone is synchronised to atomic clocks via radio/cell/internet and therefore much higher precision. :p
I have 2 watches that work, a Lip (black leather strap imitation lizard - probably a tribute to Jim Morrison), very rare, and a Yonger & Bresson (flexiflex bracelet). Which give me the time with sufficient precision compared to my mobile phone that I then do not need to take out of my pocket (if I take it). + 1 citizen:)o_O:D:eek::oops::rolleyes:o_O
