that's a disc , laserdisc
brand new sealed its street day release for this pressing 1994 its been sealed for 30 years and no signs of laser rot
picture was colourful clear no edge enhancement , almost puts 4k atmos to shame
seeing paramount pictures mountain opening/end credits as it was distributed by 20th century fox in the uk , it was like watching it all new again in THX sound system for first time bass at times felt bit like earthquake , i don't need atmos near field mixes anymore , theatrical mixes on laserdisc is way to watch and listen to a movie
still very surprised the picture colour was rather a decent transfer from 35mm

that room is dreadful echo chamber that will double sound in that room making it unpleasant simple carpet on the floor and stuck on walls and ceiling will reduce slap echo pinging noises bouncing reflecting around the roomJust listening to the reverb with him speaking - that room sounds terrible.
I skimmed through the video, at one point there is a text overlay saying the room reverb helps the sound of the speakers somehow. At no point in the video is there music playing through the speakers. Just him talking the whole time.Just listening to the reverb with him speaking - that room sounds terrible.
Personally I think those are hideous speakers, but I know some people love the ridiculous horn speakers with massive horns. I'm sure they're probably quite efficient. Not sure they exactly fall under my definition of snake oil

i find the speakers hideous as well , is there any actual demo of the testing signals with speakers how they work , maybe if projection screen covered the speakers so don't have to see them and some random , maybe laserdisc concerts i think there is a catalogue
oh like a myth there is some cat meow alouge titles of beethoven on laserdisc , i'm feeling the purr , puur fur standing up on my neck with a meow , meow , meow i see what beethoven tickles my purr fancy for the THX cinema

first concert laserdisc i have bought be here in few days , is that the type music in the video i think it's different , No. 3 in E Flat Major, Op. 55 "Eroica": IV. Finale. Allegro molto (Recorded 1962)
i'm sure i may like it , i sort of into classical music its the only universal musical language to be carried though the universe
