Extreme Snake Oil

That seems to be in contradiction with what they state in the manual (as quoted in my first post). So we can assume this thing only works powered but has some limited storage capacity. What could it possibly do? Analyze the received high frequencies, and then what? How do you then "attenuate" them? Does it work like a scrambling device? But outside wifi and cellular frequencies, as users report that it does not interfere with those ?
The true genius of these types of products is the shopper fills in the blanks in the information with what they imagine it is doing.

So, you are asking people who are telling you it is a sham/snake oil product that has no hope of doing what it claims to do how it works?

It doesn't.

Perhaps it's a question for engineers.

Yeah, none of those around here...

I'm going to move this to the snake oil thread.

That's a quantum shift.

Or quantum grift?

Course, you aren't an engineer either are you Dr. Hardy, so maybe we're just not up to making such harsh judgements. ;)

:D

Full disclosure: I'm not a quantum mechanic, either!

I'm reminded about discussions on Entreq ground boxes. Someone suggested that they were acting like antennas, actually injecting noise back into the system (rather than "draining" the system of noise), hence the possibility of an audible effect (though it may not be a good one)... But in this case, I guess no one really knows how it works.

How many ways do you need to see this written? Here is a new one.

iT DOEsnt wORK!!!

There is no physical mechanism for such a device to do what it is claiming to do. And even if it could and did - it would have no impact on the sound of your gear.

Yes, I can read, thanks. Let's make it simpler: what technology is being used? Frequency scrambling?

NOTHING is being used. NO technology - except that needed to fool anyone who opens one up that it might be doing something.

At this point the only thing being scrambled is your ability to apply a process of rational reasoning

Entreq is quite nice, if I can get it for cheap. Unfortunately to look serious, they use extremely dull cable colors (like Viard audio), forget the touch of madness of a beautiful fluorescent orange. And I really like their power cable at over a thousand dollars (with pretty Chinese plugs at $10 for 2, transparent blue)... But my favorite remains the famous Olympus Infinity Tungsten at 5500. How can I connect my main system without it?

Beware of Poe's law. There's plenty of people in the hobby who would say most of the above in total seriousness :D

I'm dead serious. Euh, ourk.
Replying to their question 'How to use a ground box', I've the answer but I want to remain polite.

Phwoooaarrr!

Seems like a nice support to put year gear on top of, so don't say these things don't work;)
