Extreme Snake Oil

Yeah, the current use and spelling of the English language, is very sad,.. :(
I'm hearing a complete disregard for subject verb agreement here in south central Pennsylvania. I've heard folks on public radio use is with plural subjects many times now. It's as if English grammar went over their heads in grade school. And, they don't give a damn to this day.

... and they confuse you're and your.
If the spell checker doesn't catch it then it gets through. Nobody proof-reads.

My favourite error is 'steamer' instead of 'streamer'. The music comes out fresh and crispy!

The Gryphon thing is a power conditioner. Interestingly, it would now seem that the mains frequency is being treated as a signal itself which needs to be carefully cleaned and primped before it can be used in a power supply.

Here is a description of the non-existent problem it solves.

"In a typical circuit, the transmission of a variable signal through a conductor creates uncontrolled resonance, analogous to aerodynamic turbulence, due to the random crystalline structure of the conductor through which the signal passes. The objective, then, is to optimize the flow of current within the signal path. By sending the power through focused and idealized crystalline conductor structures, PowerZone 3 optimizes the electrons’ vibrational flow and minimizes spurious resonances and the distortions they create. "

FML what an absolute load of breathless bu11s1t!

I saw the Siltech cables and the price but, honestly, it just seems to be accepted now that these cable "designers" can dress up a length of wire with some braid and baubles and ask anything they want for it. Here's an image of one of the geniuses responsible for it and who's pockets will bulge thanks to the gullible phools who buy in.

That so reminds me of Patrick stood semi naked in front of his Hello Kitty blanket wrapped in a huge length of some amazonian python thick Judge mains cable. I miss the old days, when the bat shit cable bonkers people didn't have the benefit of studio lighting and soft focus.

I bet this woman has a selection of vile, genuine animal pelt, shoulder wraps.

Never trust anyone who wears a watch on their left hand.

That's ok then, because she's wearing a watch on her right hand :)

When the text is from a publication (even the internet kind), the clear takeaway message is that there is no competent editor. That doesn't bode well for the publication.
:(

Yes, she and the other two are real winners. The thing (the diameter of a young python, so the analogy with the snake is well chosen!) they sell must cost them $20 to make. Which is a nice margin.
(only the bank does better)

My impression is that "steamer" is just a typo when "streamer" is intended, rather than a grammatical error.

No price given but I had a search and they are £68 for a pack of four, which, I'll confess, isn't as comically expensive as I'd hoped for.

I constantly see writers using "principal" and "principle" interchangeably, in ways that frankly, have a hard time explaining. Heck I even see them confusing "their" and "they're" - now, that one...
I see principal as a key or major component of something and principle as an idea of belief that is foundational to a theory of something.

As a kid, when I was made to see the Principal, he usually tried to impose his idea of belief that is foundational to a theory of something.

They look like octagons cut out of EVA foam. I buy EVA for my projects so this blue 3mm stuff would be around $5 for a meter and I'm guessing you could cut around 196 out of a piece 1x1M. Which makes them 2.5 cents per unit. Convert 68 PS to USD 89.30. So the four pack material value is 10 cents, sell for US$89.20 making a profit margin of 89,200.00% ! But you can't complain when they posses these incredible properties...

"the tuning spacer suppresses the complex resonance that occurs in the installation environment of audio equipment and amplifiers for musical instruments, and brings out the original performance of the equipment. In order to improve the sound quality and durability of the old model (D-REN black), it was manufactured by repeating the test under the supervision of professional musicians and recording engineers in the recording studio.
It is the universal spacer that offers both high electromagnetic wave shielding performance and vibration absorption performance with the expertise of our patented technology “Magnesium shield"

WOW!

WOW!
The patents concerned are these, granted to the founder of the company. Hmm… sighted testing?

I haven’t found their new patent for photon technology. It should be compulsory (and no doubt both enlightening and often hilarious) to have to quote your patent number when referring to it.

https://tiglon.co.jp/en For their product range. They do like magnesium.

BAAAAAAAAAAAA ha ha ha !

The patent also includes a golden ear test!

That's right, sighted, and a sample of one into the bargain. Remember, they claim expertise based on this patent. But if it's good enough for the world's patent offices, who are we to argue?

Link to one of the original patents here: https://ppubs.uspto.gov/dirsearch-p...mLTQwYTItOGNkNC1lNmNhYjVkYjM0NmUiLCJleHAiOjB9

They appear to be positing quite a significant effect at 80-100 megahertz.

Their 2024 patent appears not to have been granted in the US or Australia yet. Shame. I was looking forward to finding out about the use of "photon technology" in power cables.
