Had I asked engineers in the computer data world, I was told by all of them, they’d all have said that no switch can produce audible differences as long as the switch was capable of passing the signals in the first place

People just have to believe what they are told to believe like good consumers. Evidence isn't important.
 
It is easy to sell Snake Oil to music lovers who suffer from OCD.

There is always that paranoid idea that resides in the mind that the home audio system is possibly, maybe lacking something that someone else has. This is based upon the lies propagated in the "audiophile" publications which are demonstrably fictious. Unfortunately, unethical salesmen are financially exploiting a hobbyist's psychological weakness or obsessive compulsive disorder, for obscene profits.
 
A more solid example of confirmation bias you will not find! Honestly, how much more "improvement" can these "high-end" audio systems provide? Every time you read one of these reviews its "dramatic!" WTF! how can it be!?!?!?!?! Didn't you already spunk away thousands on speakers, cables, amps, etc, etc! Why is this equipment capable of being improved? This gear should already be approaching perfection based on the price. Deluded idiots.
 
true story, my son used words from TAS and Stereophile on a project for English class on superlatives and exagerations.

See, placebo isn't an established thing in the world of Fremer. His mere experience is enough to justify throwing out how ethernet switches are designed and rewriting the laws of physics.

Even a lot of vinylphiles stopped taking him seriously. He has zero humility, and keeps insisting he can 'hear' digital when he was proven fooled for 15 years by Mofigate.
 
I’m listening to Episode 20 of the Darko Podcast, titled “Snake Oil”. The host and his guest are in passionate agreement that it’s an accusation flung recklessly by - they hate to say it - crabby people resentful that they can’t afford the wonderful products.

They use the analogy of professional racing tires, serenely oblivious to the fact that the speed advantage of an elite tire is measurable.
 
We need the snake oil so it can subsidized the cheap/affordable/best budget one so the industry can become bigger. Please support the extreme snake oil. More extreme, bigger the industry will become
