i'm thinking of either buying an iloud micro or adam d3v, but they both use a master slave link cable with 4 pins.
i need at least 9 mt of this cable to install them since i'll be using them behind me as a 5.1 setup.
i found an iloud cable that is 9mt in lenght on amazon, though its almost 50 usd. i was wondering if i could do it myself just using another cable.
what cables could you folks recommend? and how long i could make the cable without loosing power? why the cable has 4 pins?
thank you!

Hi @calornorte! Welcome to ASR.

i was wondering if i could do it myself just using another cable.
Yes.

what cables could you folks recommend?
Any 4core wire of appropriate gauge (AWG).

Similar wisdom applies as on traditional Passive speakers, so look up speaker wire thickness and you'll get applicable guides.

Though you may get away with thinner wires for the tweeter since those carry less power in an active monitor design like the Adam or iLoud.

and how long i could make the cable without loosing power?
Infinitely long, if you can find an infinitely thick cable with low enough capacitance ;)

why the cable has 4 pins?
Each driver is connected to its own Amp in the Master speaker.

Since both monitors are 2-way designs, there are 2*2 wires in the cable.
