i try and avoid audiophiles
i also am fairly reclusive and not much of a ' mine is bigger than yours' kind of guy. i did bump into you a while back on the wam but i did not fit in there, i dont do the shows though i always have fancied RMAF but more for the seminars rather than the HiFi rooms. the only Audiophile get together i would be interested in would involve beer (not cake and tea) and some kind of live pub/small venue Jazz session, followed by passing out back at base while listening to some soul affirming music. i knows these types of audiophiles not
endless subjective musings until you disappear up your own arse is not my bag. poor old tom, he is a lonely audiophile
