Early samples sometimes get sent out for review and testing.

Bought one, it's lovely. Great UI, sound quality is subjectively better than the DAC-Z8 which I owned for the past two years. The only thing that bothers me with Eversolo: no updates to the Thesycon driver. It's stuck on 5.58 released back in 2021 (!), and there have been no updates since then, although it should be a trivial matter to update it. Just absolutely incomprehensible. @eversolo do better, guys!

Another truth is that being pleasant is a better sales strategy. I wouldn’t expect an audible difference but the only way to know for sure is independent blind testing as advocated by ASR which isn’t available otherwise it is just a subjective opinion.
Level matched unsighted comparison is something you must do for yourself.

Yes. It’s your money and you have to listen to it in your system with your music so ultimately the individual should decide for themselves. Certainly you may wish to use you tube reviews and forums as a source of info as to what you might what to try. But they are all subject to human biases and preferences. Certainly I wouldn’t take the opinions of people who haven’t even listened to equipment seriously.

Had a quick question on this DAC, that I was hoping someone could answer. I was initially considering purchasing a better streamer (currently own a Cambridge Audio MXN10), but thought I might want to purchase a separate DAC and just use the current streamer as a transport.
The issue is that the only input I'd be able to use on the Z10 would be Digital Coax. Most of the reviews I've seen they are utilizing the I2S port. My question is what would I be losing out on by utilizing the digital Coax (besides the bit rate) or, perhaps a better question...would it be even worth considering this set up if I can't use the I2S port?
