For electrical isolation with optical connection ?

Surely the proper way to do this is to have dual SFP ports on our "Digital Transport" one for the connection to our router and an outgoing SFP port for connecting to our SFP DAC? Then we can have a truly transparent device that really does essentially nothing for our money

One could use an Apple TV 4K and attach it to another streamer via ARC and you'll get lossless (albeit not high-res) Apple Music easily that way, such as WiiM Ultra, which does have ARC input, not to mention a LOT of other functionality including, well, video streaming.

Appreciate your patience in these threads Keith. Halo gear has a right to exist, and the forum goers have a right to not buy it. We should be glad to have the choice. I think the thing is dang cool, even if the value proposition doesn’t fit my sensibilities.
