Not in your wildest dreams is that the way to pronounce "Fibre" in English. Try ThisFiber: "fai bur"
Fibre: "fee bray"
at least it costs little, this t8 does the same things and costs three times as muchAnd WiiM doesn't support Apple Music natively (or even AirPlay on most of their higher tier kit).
Surely the proper way to do this is to have dual SFP ports on our "Digital Transport" one for the connection to our router and an outgoing SFP port for connecting to our SFP DAC? Then we can have a truly transparent device that really does essentially nothing for our moneyFor electrical isolation with optical connection ?

One could use an Apple TV 4K and attach it to another streamer via ARC and you'll get lossless (albeit not high-res) Apple Music easily that way, such as WiiM Ultra, which does have ARC input, not to mention a LOT of other functionality including, well, video streaming.at least it costs little, this t8 does the same things and costs three times as much
Plus optional drive for ripped CD files and a big screen and intergrated Apple Music.at least it costs little, this t8 does the same things and costs three times as much
Pretty sure that's the case for 99.999% of audio-dom, sort of maybe hearing aids. It’s a toy, but a smart looking toy.
