It does not have AirPlay; it has Apple Music support built in natively. You'd have to use the Eversolo Control app for Apple Music playback via the Eversolo's own in-built software, and not Apple's own app on your personal/mobile device.I understand that the Eversolo doesn’t have Airplay which seems a strange commercial decision given the number of subscribers. If we believe in measurements then Qubuz is very niche compared to Tidal and Apple.
Coaxial sound same as usb.
Which sounds dam good.
I2s sounds slightly better. More depth sound stage wider.
I2s def better to my ears.

Don't worry too much, Keith. No one understands you either...Always soundstage, how do those 1s and 0s do it?

Yeah, yeah... The "Black Beauty" theory, I know...I understand what he is trying to say.
Apparently, it includes AirPlay1 not AirPlay2 since it does not support multi-casting.I understand that the Eversolo doesn’t have Airplay which seems a strange commercial decision given the number of subscribers. If we believe in measurements then Qubuz is very niche compared to Tidal and Apple.
Just seems a strange commercial decision not to include AirPlay at that price given the number of Apple Music subscribers when a lot of competitor products do.
If it's AirPlay (1, not 2), then it is guaranteed lossless. AirPlay 2 is not guaranteed lossless (though it is lossless-capable if properly negotiated between source and destination).Apparently, it includes AirPlay1 not AirPlay2 since it does not support multi-casting.
There are a number of reviewers and sites stating AirPlay2 support, but nothing on the website and no response from Eversolo inquiries, thus far.
Multi-casting is not a new feature, Apply added it in 2018.

Streaming support is broad. The T8 is Roon Ready, works with TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, and AirPlay 2, and integrates Apple Music and Amazon Music natively. That means you can cast directly from your preferred service’s app or keep everything unified inside the Eversolo interface.
So, if I go for a Fiio SR11 instead of a Wiim Mini, the output signal via optical will still be bit perfect when using AirPlay, right? If it's AirPlay (1, not 2), then it is guaranteed lossless. AirPlay 2 is not guaranteed lossless (though it is lossless-capable if properly negotiated between source and destination).
Exactly right! Note that it is limited to standard Redbook sample rate/resolution.So, if I go for a Fiio SR11 instead of a Wiim Mini, the output signal via optical will still be bit perfect when using AirPlay, right?
EDIT: I've had many issues with Wiim Mini (Airplay wouldn't find it for no reason, and then rebooting, etc. all the time)
This means cd quality (16/44) right?"...standard Redbook sample rate/resolution."
Yes.This means cd quality (16/44) right?
Received and installed ! ! !Ordered a Eversolo DMP-6 Master Ed. Gen. 2. I was worried about connecting the T8 to my Parasound P6 DAC so I sprung for this streamer as an upgrade to my Bluesound Node. Happy early birthday to me!
