It is hard to find streamers with old Airplay 1.

Those of us the send Christmas music to multiple must seek out much more affordable solutions.
So, my 2 x T8s will not be used this Christmas.
The Raspberry Pi5/P2AES Hat and Shairport Sync (free) will be deployed.

Ordered a Eversolo DMP-6 Master Ed. Gen. 2. I was worried about connecting the T8 to my Parasound P6 DAC so I sprung for this streamer as an upgrade to my Bluesound Node. Happy early birthday to me!

The hi-res start track in Tidal Connect seems okay but still unstable/glitchy/hiccupy few seconds later. Delay still not available in Tidal Connect. Listening with solo app (delay available) remains clean...

There maybe no issues with Qubuz but Apple Music and Tidal have a lot more subscribers. I would have hoped at that price that a streamer would work glitch free with all major streaming services not just the most niche streaming service. Hopefully there will be update improvements to make the streamer more attractive for people who use other streaming services.

If there was a hardware fault it wouldn’t work with any streaming service this is most likely a network or simply an rtfm issue.

T8, A8, Node and Wiim Pro were connected to the same router/network with the same cable and that router has one of the best fiber links in Europe...

Other than that, this update is an improvement but they still have to work on it!

Wiim, KEF, A8 and T8 problematic with Tidal here, I don’t know why, I think that’s why we changed over to Quboz.

Hooked it up to topping dx9 using i2s mode 1. Using ugreen hdmi cable.
Sounds fantastic, usb sounds softer warmer, i2s sounds sharper defiantly prefer i2s.

Also usb out to my adi 2/4 pro se, can only use usb 3 out on t8
The main usb out to adi gives warning screen ect....
No big deal.

I have a smile from ear to ear.

Qobuz suits me just fine.

Perhaps you should have used the same dac for your comparison, level matched and compared unsighted?

Coaxial sound same as usb.
Which sounds dam good.
I2s sounds slightly better. More depth sound stage wider.

I2s def better to my ears.
playing daftpunk random access memories.
