Yes, it is frequently confirmed by WiiM staff on the WiiM forum. Now I understand...thank you very much! but how do you know? is it written somewhere?
No matter how good the A8 DAC->A8 Preamp->WiiM ADC conversion is, it will still be worse than no conversion at all (A8->Toslink->WiiM)I did it because I think the A8's DAC is better than the Wiim Amp's.
If there is one, it will be in favor of A8->Toslink->WiiM, unless the tester prefers the extra noise and distortion introduced by the extra conversions.Do you think there are audible differences?
Right.via optical, by adjusting the volume from the a8 obviously I don't use the analog preamplification, right?
at this point perhaps the same applies to many of these new all-in-ones. thank you, you were invaluable.Right.
There is no way to make good use of the A8's Preamp when connected to a WiiM Amp.
Have had the eversolo since it first appeared in the uk (about a year I think). Have had many updates including the basic room correction that appears to work well.Hello,
I'm thinking of upgrading my equipment and buying a preamp and a power amp. I like the Eversolo because it measures very well both in analog inputs and outputs, and can work as an analog Preamp, it has many connection options and measures great in general. Right now I have a Wiim por plus which I think is wonderful as a transmitter/streamer but as a preamp I don't think it's as complete. I have two questions:
1- How is the Eversolo room correction? I quite like the Wiim PEQ, how it works and can it be adjusted manually.
2- For those who have Eversolo, how are the updates and support and the app? These three things in Wiim seem great to me, better than when I had the Bluesound node.
Yes, it is Roon certified. And yes, you can turn it ON using WOL, this is what I do everyday with my tablet. Is’t Roon certified so far or still pending?
Can it be activated using WOL?
And of curiosity, is a gen2 DMP-A6 a better buy now?
