How to cast audio from an Android phone to the MDP-A6? It seems that the DMP-A6 is not a Chromecast capable device. Thanks.

I received my A6 yesterday . I noticed that the Qubuz App within the Eversolo App does not allow for favourite albums to be sorted in any other way other than “Releases.” @mirror88, Can additional sorting options be added?

Currently trying to use Apple Music app via the cast feature on the iPadis not a pleasant experience and basically unusable. I am hoping this can can be updated through future software updates.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the Chromecast Audio was discontinued in 2019. Just want confirm that the DMP-A6 is not Chromecast capable.
Rumor has it that Google is working on a Chromecast Audio successor codenamed Hendrix or YND. We will see if it is true.

@mirror88 .You must have seen the posts addressing issues with the app disconnecting frequently from the streamer. I have been very enthusiastic about this product since I received it in beginning of June. I love the sound and features and most of the functionalities including the VU meters. However having the unit constantly disconnecting from the app makes all other positives void. Are there any fixes for this problem on the way and are you aware of this? I am using my iPhone 12 or iPad to connect with current software with the same result. Same WiFi network of course and strong signals. Same with ethernet cable. I always have to go to the A6 to restart it. If I have a faulty unit I would like to know this too before giving up on the A6. Thanks.

Just received mine, same issue. And when turned off, I can’t reactivate it unless I manually push the power on the unit itself.

YT Music is not available, unless I don’t know how to do it. I would like to have that too.

I use, I had been fooled several times, if the folders are well organized on the hard disk, no problem it works, @mirror88 is there a plan to improve navigation in a future update ?

For Apple OS users, there are Auralic streamers, more expensive, as I am Android, I turned to Rose and bought Eversolo. If I had had Iphone or Ipad, I would have bought Auralic, I think.

Cambridge Audio streamers are more affordable than Auralic (except Edge) and work equally fine both with Apple and Android devices.

@Klonatrans, indeed, Cambridge (CXN) works well with Apple, I meant features and sound quality comparable to DMP, the Edge is a very nice streamer, I had looked at a year or two ago, high price, that corresponded in terms of range to the Denon PMA 110 that I have, for that I had taken the less expensive Rose 250 in terms of price, since then there is the DMP which works very well.

Another bug? If streaming using Spotify app, you can’t control volume using Ipad, but would have to open and switch to Eversole app, is this correct? @mirror88

@madracOnce it was added to My Harmony, on going back to the main Harmony screen, immediately got the gold exclamation point error message that the DMP-A6 wouldn't work with the 650 due to IR incompatibility. So it lets you load this device to your remote, then tells you it won't work. No help there.

Hi @bargainguy @madrac I was able to add "Eversolo DMP-A6" manually to Harmony Elite (hub based) without error message. But I am not sure it works because I don't have A6 yet, still waiting for it to be available for order on Amazon

Just FYI the Eversolo DMP-A6 has been on stock on Amazon US since yesterday. It still is at the time of this writing.

Surprisingly I was able to secure one unit. It will be a few weeks until it goes through the import process and I receive it in my country but I am so looking forward to it.

@AudioScience Enthusiast Congratulations. It should work - note several functions are mapped to buttons. I also added these to the screens on my remote as I can't remember which button is which for many functions for all my pieces of equipment.

I may try my spare remote again. Not sure why I was able to add to one and not the other.
