The DMP - A6 now has HQ Player NAA support. However, I haven't been able to get it to work. I have tried both HQ Player Desktop and HQ Player embedded and neither see the Eversolo NAA. I made sure the NAA is activated on the Eversolo. Anything else I can try?

I had same problem. With the t8.
Hqplayer will not work with a vpn on my system. I use nord vpn.
I turned off the nord vpn then i disabled nord in control panel internet ........ that fixed my problem
And only works from hqplayer 5.16

HQ Player only works with HQ Player Embedded. When I try HQ Player desktop on a mac, HQ Player does not see the Eversolo NAA

I don't understand how anyone can like this device. A DMP A6 Gen 2 arrived today and I can't even use it. I can only use EQ with the internal streamer. I can't sign in to Apple Music on it so I can't use the internal streamer, Apple has decided my own goddamn correct login credentials aren't enough, I have to have a goddamn TFA code, but the step that's supposed to trigger a code doesn't send one. It's a nice looking brick with lights on my desk right now. What a piece of crap. I detest streamers. And I swear WiiM people are in some sort of mass delusion together. The only thing worse than Eversolo products are those crappy plastic junk WiiMs. I'm just an old man yelling at clouds, I don't want to get into any online arguments. It's ok to ignore me. It's ok to ignore me when I say that Eversolo and WiiM are both hot garbage.

See how strange that is? Anyway, I wanted something with a bit nicer build quality and aesthetics than a miniDSP Flex, but I ended up just ordering a Flex because I'm so annoyed with this Eversolo. I tried the Play a month or so ago, too. I just happened to get one with the channels reversed, L coming from the right speaker and vice versa. I thought the firmware update would fix it, but it just reversed the subwoofer functionality - when it was set to OFF the sub would play, when it was ON the sub was silent. Just crappy overpriced crap.

I concur. I have owned WiiM Ultra as well as both, Eversolo T8 and Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2, and none of the three were hard to use at all. Yes, it is disappointing that the DSP cannot be applied to alternate sources (such as ARC in or any of the digital or analog inputs) and only to the internal streamer, but besides that functionality issue, usability, I found, was excellent for all of them.

Heaven forbid he be presented with trying to get moOde set up on a Raspberry Pi and then getting the Roon bridge installed via BASH/SSH terminal!

What did you end up with for a streamer?

I adopted the use of Roon for playing my personal library as well as streaming Qobuz, and use the Roon bridge that’s built into my DACs (Gustard R26 II in my speaker setup, Audalytic DR70 in my headphone setup, along with Roon ARC when I am traveling). I do also have a FiiO SR11 laying around still, but no longer need it. Roon is amazing as it is able to apply ReplayGain to all of my music regardless of the source, and provides excellent DSP features like adjustable Crossfeed as well as PEQ for tuning my various headphones. I get a consistent, intuitive UI across all of my devices and listening.
