I ordered one of these units yesterday but I'm going to have to wait a few weeks I'm told.
I considered ordering the Masters Edition but realized the main differences are lower noise / higher quality op amps in the analog audio circuit and higher quality femto clock oscillators...The differences was $700 here in Canada...
I looked on Digikey an Mouser and the higer quality op amps are only $12 each I'm still researching the price for the femto clock oscillators. Probably wouldn't cost more than $200-$250 total to upgrade it myself. But no way I'm paying a $700 CA upcharge for op amps and clock parts I'm not even using..
This streamer only has a 1 year warranty so it might be a modifiers dream further down the road. I like to tinker...
I really just wanted a high end streamer/server but what I wanted is way too expensive right now.
I will bypass the A6 Preamp and internal dacs anyway and hook it up to my Primaluna tube dac and tube preamp separates.
The company updated their firmware and the A6 will now accept 4TB M.2 SSD
( up from the original 2TB maximum)
The A6 also apparently allows you to rip CD's directly onto the internal M.2 SSD using an external USB CD disc drive plugged into the USB C digital input. The player has a CD ripping app software installed apparently. I can likely even plug my Cambridge Audio CXC

Transport's digital out into the SPDIF digital
do the op-amps require soldering? Have you looked at discrete op-amps from burson or sparkos?

input and rip them from there too.. Don't know ?
I'm learning a lot about the Eversolo DMP A6....I wish they made a separate Streamer/Server without the analog output section and dac circuits for the same money but with higher end parts and engineering.
I've got a feeling the noise would be gone with no analog output section. I'm surmising the Masters Edition addresses most of the broadband THD issues reported in the review.
Amir should test the upgraded Masters player...
Regardless, there still seems to be too much good stuff going on with this product to pass it up..The OS looks really promising...
Looking forward to learning it's ins and outs.....

It can and does with a Wiim streamer
Do you need the ADI, Wiim pro plus up are transparent built in eq etc etc.
Keith

A big thanks to Amir, thank you so much for your dedication and hard work!
Has anyone looked into upgrading op-amps to discrete models?

Only have the pro,but the adi is going to two separate systems hence the want for different eq profiles going to each of its outputs, also can’t turn either of the outputs off (think you can in the adi pro)
So if the Eversolo can both disable one or the other, and have different eq loaded for each output my life would be simpler, and it’d be pretty much cost neutral after selling my adi.

With all rumours from A10, it seems to be subwoofer out is a really good addition. Apart from that I don't see any significant changes w.r.t A8(I don't know what DAC is used in A10 and even a different DAC it won't have any significant difference from current A8's).
Also from the name plate it didn't specify about amplification unit, so I don't know why they have a huge heatsink setup?
Lets wait and see this weekend..

Two subwoofer outs, good but no confirmation that you can eq them.
Keith

Yes.

Ok so A10 difference is mainly the sub output.
It might me possible to convert the RCA Analogue output(as an option) in A8 , to sub out and implement an option for independent PEQ for (XLR & RCA). Though I'm not sure how is the hardware architecture for A8 w.r.t this, but software wise it seems to be possible. Question is with A10, on the road, will they even opt for this option in A8?
Then the last option is minidsp HD(only for LF) or a flex(can be used for full frequency spectrum), which can do the job much better.
But I wish we have an option available for A8 as independent PEQ for XLR & RCA at least to use subs directly.

I have the Eversolo 6 connected to a Nord power amp with a cd player also connected to the Eversolo (using the Eversolo as a pre-amp which works very well and is very convenient - easy to switch between things). What would be the best way please to connect to a turntable that doesn't have its own phono stage and control the volume? I also wish to do some room measuement and adjustment at a future stage. Thanks S

You will ( obviously) need a phono stage and either a traditional pre amp or a dac/streamer with analogue ‘in’, I use my A-8 with a phono turntable and it works fine, no analogue in on the A-6 though.

Any recommendations /suggestions please? Would a Wiim Pro work hooked up to a cambridge duo ? I guess the advantage of the Wiim Pro is that i could use the app to control the volume ... Is there anyhting that would work in one box and give me volume control (hopefully remotely) or enable me to do a bit of room correction at the same time? just mindful of and trying to limit the number of boxes

Problem witht he Ultra is that it is another box that largely does what the Eversolo 6 does and i am not sure how good the phono bit is. Would a passive amp/ volume control for example this https://www.schiit-europe.com/product/sys-product-9/ work witht the Cambridge duo Cambridge Duo ? I tried to get a matching Schiit matching Mani 2 Mani 2 but their is none in the country and according to ASR the Cambridge is the better of the two anyway.

I also came across the Parks Audoi Waxwing Phono DSP https://parksaudiollc.com/ . Would help with a lot of sub optimal records i have and also a few other useful things. Most notably i could hook it up direct to my Eversolo6 and switch between it and my other sources using the app and be able to control the volume. Circa £500 so a few hundered more than the above and would also have to import from the USA as there doesn't seem to be any UK sellers.

Anyway any thoughts greatly welcome ....

To connect your turntable to the A6, you will either need to add a DSP Phono Pre like the Waxwing, or a 2-box solution of phono pre and ADC.

Since you asked for a one-box solution, my suggestion was to replace the A6 with a WiiM Ultra.

Your CD player and turntable can be connected straight to the Ultra and it can apply room correction to all of your audio sources.

Sounds like this (the upcoming A10) will have Eversolo's own brand of Room Correction, and not something like Dirac, which I was hoping for. I suppose they want to carve-out a name for themselves, or, more probably, avoid 3rd party software implementation and licensing fee hassles. I'm looking for a new stereo preamp, and this could possibly do the trick, but I'd want it to have a Home Theater Bypass/Pass-through mode configurable for one of the RCA inputs. Oh, and I'd also want it to be Roon-Ready, and I imagine it will be since both the A6 and A8 are.
