Eversolo DMP-A6 Streamer Review

Yeah, i get it. But the wiim mini/pro/+ are also pure stereo streamers, and they implemented peq for all the inputs + internal player. Probably the dmp isn't for me, in its current state.

I believe the independent PEQ and Rew possibilities is worth the wait . Really appreciate the thought process of improving every possibilities of already a great device.

I can see that , independent PEQ is now available after the software update. Just wondering , If the REW import also implemented ?

Anyone having issues with songs on Apple Music or Tidal not completely finishing before the next one starts? Doesn't happen all the time but is consistent for a song that it does happen on. The App shows anywhere from 6-10 seconds of the song to go and the song ends and the next one begins. I tried turning crossfade on and off in the Apple Music app and it doesn't seem to make much difference.

Example track for me is Russel Morris - Wings of an Eagle - Retrospective Album .. song finishes with about 4 seconds to go.

In fact, we have massively expanded our R&D team. This time the firmware has some streaming service certifications that took a little long. But I think it will be fine within this month
We are planning some interesting new features. For example, each channel has separately ten-band PEQ, as well as REW-compatible PEQ file import and export functions（It depends on the processing power of the CPU）.
More stepped digital volume functions based on Eversolo’s own algorithm
Finally, and not impossible, is a room correction developed by Eversolo himself! But this is not a promised feature.

Do we have any Luck with REW compatible PEQ file import & export functions in this update? In the update list, this is not present, so just checking out of curiosity , if it is a possibility in the near future?

I bought and since then used the A6 streamer for streaming purpose, streaming from NAS and local SSD. The build and sound quality is worth the price for only this, but the additional services (I don't use) could make the item underpriced, according to the market.
Would keep this in mind (and the option to stream everything to the streamer via BT).

Can you really not apply the PEQ to the digital inputs? That's a major miss.

No! It miss to me because I have connected otical out from TV to eversolo and no PEQ for dig input.

Yeah, that doesn't make any damn sense to me. It's a device with multiple digital inputs and outputs, but the only way to use PEQ is its internal player. They've clearly designed the device to act as the centerpiece of your system, but neglected to make one of its best features actually useful.

Apparently the Fiio R7, which is a very similar device that costs less, can actually do PEQ from any digital input. What's Eversolo's excuse?

Yes it is a little odd you can use DSP on all the inputs of the A-8 ( and the three digital outputs) but it has to be internal player and dsp on four outputs on the A-6.

I'm considering the A6 vs the Master Edition for use as streamer only to an external DAC via USB. In that configuration, does the ME provide any advantages over the base A6? My understanding is that USB out uses the clock in the DAC, not the streamer, so the upgraded femto clocks in the ME don't provide an advantage. Is that accurate?
