In fact, we have massively expanded our R&D team. This time the firmware has some streaming service certifications that took a little long. But I think it will be fine within this month
We are planning some interesting new features. For example, each channel has separately ten-band PEQ, as well as REW-compatible PEQ file import and export functions(It depends on the processing power of the CPU).
More stepped digital volume functions based on Eversolo’s own algorithm
Finally, and not impossible, is a room correction developed by Eversolo himself! But this is not a promised feature.
I believe the independent PEQ and Rew possibilities is worth the wait . Really appreciate the thought process of improving every possibilities of already a great device.

I think most people here would be willing to pay the extra if they could just buy a Dirac licence for the device.
I agree, i fear the Eversolo will spread too thin. I’d rather the promised feature set be rock solid before expansion, else you loose goodwill with the customer base i fear for cheaper alternatives…

Not a fan of Dirac, left channel , right channel , both together PEQ and only correcting in the low bass is preferable in my opinion.

@mirror88 it is great to hear this and it is encouraging to hear that the software will continue to be developed and improved, but it would also be good to have smaller more regular updates to fix existing issues that don't require new services to be certified.

I once had a Yamaha AVR with YPAO, where you could set PEQ separately for all speakers. This works automatically and you can also change it afterwards. The result was strange, to say the least. In my opinion, you can do a lot more wrong than right with PEQ, especially if there are several of them interacting. I've had very good experiences with Dirac, and I wouldn't use PEQ where I could make things worse myself.

Less is more with peq imo , just the bare minimum to tame room gain low bass.
Eversolo at Munich, quite fancy a perspex A-8

I am really happy with my A6 since the 1.2.50. AirPlay is stable and the Qubuz built in app is well designed. I would like Qubuz connect but I understand that it a feature that will be released sometime this year, hopefully.

Yes this year... situation begin to looks like to hires Spotify informations…

Please do not forget to add playlist support for M3U files -
and API to add tracks to the playing CUE through IP control ( 9529/ZidooFileControl/openFile?cue="add"&path=... )

Is there a plan to realease just Eversolo streamer, no DAC, no preamp, but with linear PSU for example?

Linear power supply would not make the slightest difference to sound quality.
Only to your bank balance and the re-sale value of the Eversolo unit and not in a good way.

Received my A6 yesterday! Setup in no time and connected via balanced xlr to a hypex nc252mp based amp. I practically have zero noise and distortion in my hifi now haha (that is audible, at least).

How does it sound? Honestly, not great. Resolution was incredible, but it also sounded a bit thin. I realise that I prefer - or have become accustomed to - a bit of bloom in the upper mid bass, and a dip around 2-4 kHz to make things less fatiguing. What’s great about the A6, is that I was able to do this via EQ and fine tune with some of my favourite tracks.

There’s definitely a balance to be had between well measuring equipment sounding “clean” (the adjective friends would use to describe my system), and a move towards “enjoyable”, which for me, isn’t a flat frequency response.

Weirdly, I feel that I overcame a mental hurdle in using EQ on my “audiophile” system, to produce the sound i like.

I was probably a little harsh. Listening to it now without any EQ whatsoever, and it sounds great. Either my ears have adjusted or there has indeed been a “breaking in” period /s

Bad recordings sound harsh, while good recordings sound very good. No fault of the Eversolo at all.

Nearly everyone I hear say the music sounds thin coming from a certain device has been listening to too much distortion .

People would say "thin" about the Benchmark dacs all the time and they are state of the art.
