Probably because it "takes a small step down in performance relative to state of the art"?

Two different categories. The Z6 & Z8 are not streamers, only DACs. The A6 is a streamer/DAC.

That is correct if you power off, I leave mine in standby mode and no problem.

Anyone else have this line thing at the bottom or know how to fix it? Mostly happens when using Apple music but that's the reason I bought it so that's annoying. I have reset it also.

in the end I bought the master edition, I'm trying it now for the first time, it sounds good to me, I don't think it will improve much after the burn in, now I have to study how to turn it off.

the new firmware does not like my large ssd at all. 86222 songs. Am i missing a setting ,before everything was ok now it repeats searching etc.but the files are all there in my files?

Like you, I tried to keep the clock on the screen and searched the menus, but couldn't find anything. I'm not sure they planned for this to be possible. It would be an interesting development.

The standard version is audibly transparent, see Amir’s review so the Master version cannot be ‘better’.
