What I meant was the security and android firmware update would be supported until the limit of microprocessor.
Indeed, Hi-Fi Rose which was also developed under Android before, still runs on Android 7, these are products which require a lot of development before their launch. It will be interesting to see if Eversolo changes the version of Android used.

Perhaps gullibility sandwiched between obsessive compulsive behaviour and lack of technical knowledge.

That combo seems to be a very popular sandwich among audiophools. We should start a franchise. we could get rich. Wait... what?

In an evolution version of the Master Edition integrated by Audiophonics, they add an internal hard drive and remote control...

‘Evolution’ perhaps its meaning is slightly different in french?

Indeed, rather a modification because I doubt that it will bring much, double the price of the DMP A6....

Has anyone got their album artwork to update via the network vs manually adding a jpg to an album folder? The A6 manual alludes to this but I haven't been able to do it.

Does anyone know if the DMP-A6 will transmit 7.1 multichannel PCM (or DSD, for that matter) through its USB out (to a multichannel DAC)? I know the HDMI audio out is limited to 5.1 PCM and 5.1 DSD, but I don't know about the USB out when using the A6 as just a streamer.

They also still advertise it as having Airplay 2, but it doesn't.

FYI my Harmony remote finally works with the A6. I was able to program my remote yesterday it’s all working great Note that the “menu” option button for the A6 turns the A6 screen on/off.

I have had the Eversolo for a few months and am really happy with it. I use Qubuz, AirPlay, and music from a hard drive plugged in to my A6. I only use the streaming function connected via USB to my Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 and play through Dynaudio Contour 20 speakers. The words I would use to describe the sound of the A6 are clean, transparent, and engaging. My only request is that there is another screen theme option designed for users that use the A6 in a traditional stereo system. I would like to be able to read the text of the song info clearly from 9 feet away. The font just needs to be a little larger.

As an early adopter of the A6, I find these comments about upgrades interesting. Trying to upgrade transparency. To what?

I cannot hear the noise floor on my A6. According to Amir's measurements, SINAD is ~115 dB via the RCA outs I use.

So if I tried to upgrade my A6 with a different power supply, I'd be admitting I can hear differences at ~115 dB down, and there would be benefit to doing this.

Anyone here with hearing like that? Can folks here distinguish at 115 dB? Or is this all just wishful thinking, and ability to hear deeply diminishes well before that?

I suspect the latter, but have no empirical evidence, so I'll leave that question to more qualified ears.
It seems at this moment in time with the technology of DACs, it’s just about bragging rights. It’s a lofty life to claim much of a sonic improvement.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but a video documenting a comparison between the master and standard versions based on a 'blind test':

No, I was the one who had the first DMP vs Volumio video. Members had indicated that there were disturbing elements in the way the blind test had been implemented. What he concludes is the warmer standard DMP and the more tangible master, this sheds little light in the end. 70% of testers preferred the most expensive and 30% the cheapest..

The important part you need to know is that there is a bigger margin ( profit) on the more expensive machine.
Sound will be the same.
