t's true, I hadn't thought about it with Nad, for Roon, the DMP does, I use, see which offers the best performance, there is the advantage of Dirac which is a new thing in Hi-Fi .

I solved it and it works very well. Install SmarTube on a Usb flash drive, then insert it into the usb port on Dmp- A6, turn on Dmp-A6, install it and it will work perfectly.
Could you walk me through this process a bit more in detail? I downloaded the Smartube stable version. The .apk file won't open on my computer because I have a Mac. Can I transfer it simply to a flash drive and then plug it into the USB-C port on the A6? Just how? Thanks.

@mirror88 .You must have seen the posts addressing issues with the app disconnecting frequently from the streamer. I have been very enthusiastic about this product since I received it in beginning of June. I love the sound and features and most of the functionalities including the VU meters. However having the unit constantly disconnecting from the app makes all other positives void. Are there any fixes for this problem on the way and are you aware of this? I am using my iPhone 12 or iPad to connect with current software with the same result. Same WiFi network of course and strong signals. Same with ethernet cable. I always have to go to the A6 to restart it. If I have a faulty unit I would like to know this too before giving up on the A6. Thanks.
I am posting this just to update and clarify my concerns about the A6 disconnecting from the apps. I have it now stably connected to my WiFi network using an Ethernet cable direct from an Asus ZenWiFi mesh router. I stopped using the Tidal native app and only use the Eversolo App. iPhone 12 or iPad. For some reason it is stable now and I am happy. So that's all.

HI, I've had this streamer for the last 2wks now and it has an issue that makes it unusable for my needs. I purchased this to use as a transport to connect a pair of devialet phantoms via optical.
I have no issues using my iphone to stream to the DMP-A6 but when using the inbuilt player such as Tidal, it plays, but when skipping a track the audio is lost, although the screen shows it is playing. On the devialet app it shows that there is no signal coming in to the speaker via optical.
Switching to another inbuilt app such as radio player and the sound returns and then back to tidal it works again.
This also happens when playing files from the onboard storage - i ripped a CD and stored it withing the available storage (not SSD).
When playing back a file there is sound but skipping a track the sound cuts out, but the icon is still spinning.

I find i have to start on a radio app first before using anything else.
Any ideas? My return window will soon be closed so I would like to get this resolved.
Thanks
Are you connected to the network via Ethernet or Wifi ? When you say you are using the natively installed Tidal app , are you accessing it through cast mode through the Eversolo App or direct through the touch screen ? It seems I've had a similar experience with some of the apps hanging up before, but I believe I was attempting to use Cast mode over wifi or Airplay and wondered if wifi was connection contributed to the issue. I would think Tidal connect would be one of the more solid ways to use Tidal on the DMP-A6, since it streams direct to the Eversolo and bypasses the phone.

I'm connected direct via ethernet. I initially noticed this issue when using Tidal native, but now I can see it's not a tidal issue as I first thought. When I power on the unit to play a file, there is no sound output to the speaker, although the unit shows the disc spinning in the top right corner. Going into my speaker app I can see that no signal is being received. If I switch from Files to Streaming/Internet radio and select a station - there is sound, switching back to Files then and selecting a track sound plays as expected.
However, if I now select another track the sound stops and I have to repeat the above to get sound again.

I have been in touch with Devialet who have confirmed both speakers are connected and working as they should, and I've swapped cables too.

Thanks for your help

Looks like that devialet phantom only support 24bit/96Khz for Optical input, Unable to lock on high quality signal, that's the problem. The sampling rate of Internet radio stations usually does not exceed 96Khz.
It uses 3.5mm Analog/optical hybrid audio jack, I guess there will be instability as well.
And it is recommended that you use analog output, the A6's DAC is quite transparent.

You guys are a life saver - Thank you soo much. I changed the fixed sampling rate from 192 to 96khz and it now works. No sound drop outs when skipping, pausing etc.
I incorrectly assumed that 192khz was the best setting when originally setting up and never for a second did I think my speakers were not compatible for this.
As it played some tracks@192khz I never considered this was the issue.

Thanks again, saved me having to swap and experiencing the same with another unit.:)

+ 0.95 :D

I like this product a lot. Not enough to replace an AVR in a my system but.. If they were to come with a product, with similar aesthetics and performance levels but with :
1) DSP/DRC Audyssey-like or Dirac with DLBC...
2) EQ with Adaptive loudness
3) Subwoofers outputs (2 at least)
4) Analog inputs
5) Digital inputs?

I believe they'd have the perfect product, for me at least :)

Dream product, maybe. I believe such features would answer many prayers. I also understand that would come at a cost.

Peace.

I use a mac mini M1 headless. Can stream lossless to it, Dirac can be installed, infinite Peq/DSP possibility for free with Rew for exemple, can store files, versatile and be used for different purpose. Hook up any dac you want to have balanced out or multiples for subs and amps or inputs. Or use the headphone output straight to your amplifier it's on par with a bluesound node. It only consumes 3 watts/h. Can be found used for less than 400, it's a bargain.

Thanks so very much: Good to know. I do however need Atmos and the full complement of HT codecs. I love music and movies, thus my system is dual use; but 3 watts/hr for that kind of power is beyond compelling... To be acquired. although the Denon or its replacement Denon still will remain.

Peace.

Why not hooking a mac mini (or apple tv if you have an iphone) straight into one hdmi input of your AVR then ? You could enjoy Atmos music with apple music (it's pretty cool) have dirac live. Denon AVR are supposed to be pretty good even for hifi for what I have seen here.

I didn't know Dirac Live could run on Apple TV, which I have. The reviews for the app, are damning and scathing: Just a lone star.

If it is cheap enough, I may try. I'll report.

No sorry my bad. Dirac live only works on apple computer or windows as far as I know. The app on apple TV is prob just for controls and I would suspect the one star review to be because it's very not practical to control and set up dirac from a remote. Could have used Apple tv if your Denon audyssey is good enough for you.
