I don’t get it!
It seems as there is a broad consensus that the DMP-A6 sounds a bit bright sounding when unboxed, but gets more mellow after some time.
My own experience likely confirm it as well, but in case correct, why is it not noticed during the review?
Is it because all listener are wrong, the measurement don’t catch it or maybe, the unit tested has been runned in allready?
There's enough people that describe hearing a somewhat bright character after listening to the Eversolo that, they aren't all wrong.Strange as it may sound, the likely answer is that all listeners (or whoever is referenced as "all") are wrong. It's perfectly neutral, and it does not change sound signature over time. Nor do any other streamer or DAC
No. testing methods are able to quantify everything. All differences are imaginary as your ears suck and you cannot hear sh*t, nor can anyone else.“Mids are slightly forward”, if the case, how come the review by Audioscience doesn’t disclose this?
Is it because the test metode is insufficient to quantify it or?
Actually they are all wrong, if those people were to read and learn to understand the significance of measurement, they would instantly grasp that the DMP has a flat frequency response and is therefore in itself transparent. There's enough people that describe hearing a somewhat bright character after listening to the Eversolo that, they aren't all wrong.

Or, they've just ditched last year's dull sounding fad tube R2R DACs for something decent? How would you know?
An apparent consensus that this unit is bright (it isn't, I have one right here, plus you can see its response in post #1) would indicate that either:
A) There's some kind of general rumor that Asian products are bright
B) There's some kind of general rumor that this specific DAC chip is bright
C) All of these people have bright speakers.
D) Some combination of the above.
Same here, the "connect" volume control didn’t work at all till the most recent firmware update, and now that it does, it's rather large volume steps, approx 6.5 db each step, very jumpy / laggy response to button presses. I believe it’s the same for Apply Airplay also.anyone having issues with spotify via facebook login on the native app ? ive just installed it via the apps but cannot login. it seems to work via spotify connect however on the volume control via phone it jumps 6db on each click, Just me or others aswell ?
má niekto problémy so spotify cez facebookové prihlásenie v natívnej aplikácii?
Yes. i also have the same problem. I can't log in via Facebook to Spotify directly to Eversolo, even though there is this option in the A6 menu. I already wrote to the Zidoo forums to fix this error, but they didn't do anything about it, they just mentioned that some guy besides me has it. Try to write in the forum, maybe when there are more of us they will fix it.anyone having issues with spotify via facebook login on the native app ? ive just installed it via the apps but cannot login. it seems to work via spotify connect however on the volume control via phone it jumps 6db on each click, Just me or others aswell ?
In this case, I'm afraid you can only login through Email, because Facebook login is an authorization method that jumps to the application. That A6 have no built-in social applications like Facebook.Yes. i also have the same problem. They won’t make the slightest difference, buy better speakers/measure the room/implement any filters.Hi all,
I have a question about DAC to plug into the DMP A6, I know that Keith told me not to bother, aspect technical results or general opinion on the three models that I am considering in order of price:
- Eversolo Z8, advantage close to what I have with the A6, affordable price 700 euros
- SMSL SU 10 price around 1000 euros, dual pro DAC and linear power supply
- Gustard X26 PRO around 1400 euros, dual pro DAC, linear power supply, the most high-end offer I've seen
Thank you in advance for your comments
It is clear that Eversolo does not have Facebook. No one even claims it, but in the menu there is an option to continue and log in with the name and password from Facebook, which does not work, there is an error. That's why others who tried it also had a problem. In this case, I'm afraid you can only login through Email, because Facebook login is an authorization method that jumps to the application. @mirror88 if you knowing know that you cannot login via facebook or google, why not remove these options from the UI. it just confuses people and makes the product look buggy as hell or you have bad QE's who dont test the obvious. It is clear that Eversolo does not have Facebook. Ok, I'm going to look towards R2R, the models mentioned Denafrips Ares or Musician Draco do not have excessive prices, I thought that more high-end Sigma DACs could improve. Afterwards, I found the DMP one not bad, it was a question. It's true that there are R2Rs that don't explode the price scales like things like Rockna...I personally value variety. Why add an external Delta Sigma DAC to a device that already has a Delta Sigma DAC?
I'd personally consider a Resistor Ladder DAC (R2R) like Denafrips Ares II or Gustard R26 and so on. In fact, I am currently considering adding a Musician Draco + a dedicated preamp.
