I am thinking of buying The Eversolo DMP-A6 masters edition, but I was advised that a standard DMP-A6 and the Eversolo Z8 Dac would be a better choice.
Does anybody have an experience with this combo?

Yes tried it, save your money, no difference as the measurements would suggest.

Hi Keith, any experience with the DMP-A6 using the onboard DAC vs as a straight transport via the USB output to an Audiolab 9000A integrated using its DAC (ESS 9038Pro)? Waiting for my A6 to arrive before I can test it out and compare myself, but wondering if you had any experience or opinion (not sure if you guys are Audiolab dealers). Thanks!

Only really compared the DMP against the Eversolo Dac Z-8, I couldn’t hear any difference and if the Audiolab is properly engineered I wouldn’t expect you to.

Thanks! Assumed as much. Any technical/functional reason you can see preferring one hook up vs another?

Not really, again if properly engineered which I believe the Eversolo to be there shouldn’t be any difference, I would use whatever is most convenient, ( USB to the Dac Z-8 here)

I’m thinking about using the DMP-A6 with a Sonos Arc for multichannel playback. I’m assuming connecting the the unit’s HDMI Out to a Sonos Arc’s HDMI In simply does the trick. Have you tried something like this yet?

Long story short, it works. Multichannel flac and multichannel dsd files in 5.1, all good. A 7.1 track played as well, but the system was only 5.1. This worked off a USB drive, and in my home system from a NAS over the network. The original plan had been to install a SSD drive but if the network works, well, why bother?

Hi Keith, I just bout an the eversolo dmp-a6 for his exact combination, KEF LS50 wireless and the Eversolo as a streamer. I have some setup questions: I will be connecting them with a COAX cable. Is the eversolo capable of driving volume? Do you think this setup will be superior to the internal DAC? LS50W have their own dac so Im guessing that if I conect via a coax it will only be de streamer and passing DAC functions directly to the KEFS? thanks for your attention!
