Purchased the Eversolo as I wanted a refined media streamer to consolidate all my music and services under Roon. I liked the iOS software a bit more than the others and it was priced right. Having a dedicated trigger line and HDMI and eARC pushed it over the top. It will be primarily used in digital output mode to feed my MiniDSP HTx.

The unit is very well designed, logically laid out and built, especially considering the price point. I also prefer having input filtering and protection, a 3-prong IEC power cable over a wall-wart.

There are Young electrolytic on the power supply (105C), NJcon on the digital part, with Nichicon with Wima film for the analog portion (85C).
TI's OPA1642 are used to drive the outputs. It appears to relay switch between true balanced XLR outputs and single-ended RCA.
The assembler kindly autographed his work.

Tried to buy a DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 1 from Peter Tyson's, which was one of these open box situations, and they had cut the price to £899. Had already auditioned it at the North West show back in 2024 and had been hoping to get my hands on one ever since, so it seemed like a bargain. Sadly, it turned out that they had already sold the player......... sigh....... but they could let me have a Gen 2 model for £999, which normally retails at £1259 - they even delayed the delivery for 4 days so that I could be at home when it arrived.
The only minor niggle I have is that the SSD cover uses a captive screw, which as I know from prior experience is a thing that all too frequently can result in cross threading, but a few moments changing it to not captive sorted that. Apart from that, this is quite simply - so far - the best piece of audio that I have ever owned, and I plan on making good use of it, with two 14TB drives of FLAC music to choose from and thousands of CD's to choose from.

I think I will send the print off to a 'friend' to identify the assembler. LOL.

As for the wall wart vs Grounded power supplies, have had many, many less issues with wall wart and double insulated pieces of equipment vs. three prong (grounded) equipment. Properly designed, double insulated (class II) equipment seem to have far fewer humm and noise issues, especially when interconnecting multiple pieces of equipment. Warts are a pain but do provide a way to control unwanted noise.

It is a fine piece of engineering. Thanks for sharing.
