Eversolo DAC-Z10

What a strange response to this thread.. Question and based on your logic, are you saying that you do not own any tech manufactured (or partly) from China?
I very probably do (unfortunately) even if I am not aware of it because manufacturers might outsource part of their manufacturing processes to China or might source components from there but do not disclose this information to the customers. However, this does not change what I expressed in my previous post - I belong to group of people who do not want to support Chinese manufacturers and therefore, if such information is known (and in the case of EverSolo it could not be clearer), I avoid buying Chinese products. I would like to see more EU and US DACs so that there is wider array of DAC manufacturers we can choose from.

You don’t have to buy it and there is/will be a European/US alternative but it will almost certainly be more expensive…capitalism in action.
Keith
Can you list what those European/US alternatives are please? Thanks.

I can but they will almost certainly have Chinese made components in them, are you prejudiced against all Far Eastern manufacture or is it just China?
Keith

Sounds like the brexit fan club here in the UK ..

I would not knowingly spend my money on products coming from countries threatening the world (Russia, North Korea, China, Iran...). I have nothing agaist all other peacefully living Far East countries which on contrary have a lot of troubles with China and saw severe threats in the past and even actions from China trying to capture their land. Now you hopefully see that your accusation from prejudice was not fair, there are clear and very responsible reasons behind the decision. However, Keith, it is irrelevant to discuss our political opinions here, let us talk about DACs. My call was for EU/US based companies to come with the same level of high quality DACs to compete with increasingly improving Chinese ones, otherwise they will not survive and we will have nothing else than Chinese products on the market in future... You wrote you can list EU/US manufacturers of DACs comparable to EverSolo DAC-Z10, so please do. Thanks.

Don’t think you need to worry about North Korean hifi components ..

I absolutely understand English sarcasm :) but there might be more "content" in your replies ;) Any suggestions for EU/US manufacturers of DACs comparable to EverSolo DAC-Z10?

:) not without components manufactured in your list..

Unfortunately, you might have to transport yourself back to the 1970’s / 80’s for electrical items that solely made in the US / EU ..

All joking aside, I do understand to a point you in not wanting to purchase these items from these type of countries but unfortunately, it’s not realistic ..

And that is why I wrote my original post.
Hopefully, EU/US companies will wake up...

And manufacture everything single component?
No, sure not. They might source components in Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, EU, US, India... in any country not threatening the world. It is important to consider where our money go and what they support, don't you think? It is realistic scenario, there still are respectable countries manufacturers could source high quality components from. Will the price be higher? Very probably. Will there be people willing to pay higher prices knowing the reasons? Of course!

When you say, any countries not threatening the World? I would say, please be careful.

I'm thinking (maybe!) RME and Benchmark, they make very high quality DAC's and other equipment, but I highly doubt if even they are completely without parts/components from China, Perhaps other people here with more knowledge than me can elaborate on this? anyways, it's a global economy and labor has been outsourced to China and (at the time) other "3rd world" countries for quite a while, well guess what, the didn't remain 3rd world forever of course, the so called "1st world" has only its-self to blame.

Doesn't mean that i agree with current Chinese politics though, especially
since my wife is from Taiwan:)

I don't know where chips are made, but if AKM makes them home and FPGA chips and OPAs are made elsewhere than China all the rest are easy to outsource.
I won't be as cheap but they may be of better quality (in terms of tolerances, ppm, QC, etc, I'm talking caps, resistors, etc) but it's perfectly doable.

And at the risk of contributing to a devolvement in the intended purpose of the thread, I think it fair to point out that currently people can make a case that the US should also be included in any conversation about threatening world peace. There seems to be nothing but glass houses in the world so nobody should be throwing stones about.

You sound like some of the old men at Audiogon.

Could easily argue that the USA is currently a threat to world peace.

Geopolitics aside, the biggest reason to avoid Eversolo is the complete lack of customer service.

Thread will get a rest while I clean up the political veer it has taken.

Please stick to product and technical discussion here.
