Just ordered our first Eversolo Dac Z10 units UK RRp is £1940 inc vat and delivery.
Highlights:-
  • Fully Isolated Architecture (FIA™), which completely separates the digital and analogue domains to minimise interference and preserve signal purity.
  • Three independent linear power supplies individually power the left channel, system, and right channel, allowing each to operate in an ultra-low-noise environment.
  • Two sets of AK4191 + AK4499 DACs for independent left and right channels - AKM’s Velvet Sound™.
  • Fully balanced analogue preamplifier that employs precise dual-channel R2R volume control.
  • Eversolo Precision Core™ OCXO Temperature-Controlled Crystal Oscillator + Phase-Locked Loop Technology with External 10 MHz & 25 MHz High-Precision Clock Support.
  • FPGA Redefined - A built-in FPGA that shapes IIS data and refines the clock. Every digital signal is thus optimised to its purest form before reaching the DAC.
  • Grounding Post - The grounding post channels noise away, eliminating even minor interference and preserving the purity of each note.
  • 8-Mode IIS Digital Audio Input - Via IIS digital audio input, offers 8 switchable modes and supports up to 768kHz/ 32Bit PCM and DSD512 Native.
  • Isolated AES/EBU Input - Features a dedicated isolated AES/EBU input, fully separating electrical noise between front-end and back-end devices.
  • HDMI ARC Integration - Equipped with HDMI ARC, supporting both ARC and eARC modes for effortless integration into your home theatre system.
  • 6.35mm Powerful Headphone Amplifier Module - Dedicated 6.35 mm headphone amplifier module that auto-detects impedance and adjusts gain.
  • High Quality Bluetooth Module - Features a built-in Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth module.
  • 8.8-inch IPS touchscreen.
  • Left/Right Balance Gain - Offers up to 15dB of left/right balance gain adjustment.
  • Customise Your Sound - Offers 6 DAC filter characteristics, letting you switch freely to suit different musical atmospheres.
  • Full Function Remote Control.
  • High Quality USB and Trigger Cables Included.
  • Much more here,

Yes you have to get the T8 for that, pity.

Can its IIS switchable modes be programmed to accept a native DSD signal through HDMI (from a compatible SACD transport or universal player)? Does the preamp section also include an HT bypass?

What is the headphone power output in Watts?

Output Level (Vrms): 4Vrms @ 0dBFS

THD+N @ No-wt: 0.0003% @ 1kHz (-110dB @ 1kHz)

Noise @ No-wt: < 2.5uVrms

SNR @ A-wt: 124dB

Frequency Response: 20Hz–20kHz (±0.1dB)

DNR @ A-wt: 124dB

Headphone Audio

Characteristics

(Mid Gain Mode)

Output Level (Vrms): 5.6 Vrms @ 0dBFS

THD+N @ No-wt: 0.00018% @ 1kHz (-115 dB @ 1kHz)

Noise @ No-wt: <2.5 µVrms

SNR @ A-wt: 126 dB

Frequency Response: 20Hz–20kHz (±0.1 dB)

DNR @ A-wt: 126 dB

Headphone Audio

Characteristics

(High Gain Mode)

Output Level (Vrms): 7 Vrms @ 0dBFS

THD+N @ No-wt: 0.00013% @ 1kHz (-118 dB @ 1kHz)

Noise @ No-wt: <2.5 µVrms

SNR @ A-wt: 127 dB

So should I assume that you don’t know the answers to my own questions?

I am not allowed to share the whole manual, above is the relevant headphone section.
This is the specs page.

OK so let me simply repeat my questions, which are very basic applications from the unit:
Can its IIS switchable modes be programmed to accept a native DSD signal through HDMI (from a compatible SACD transport or universal player)? Does the preamp section also include an HT bypass?

Probably a question for ‘Zidoo support-Kim’ over at the Zidoo forum or member ‘Eversolo’ here.

Keith

Added a DAC-Z10 page to the PA site, nothing on it that isn’t on the Eversolo site, rrp is going to be £1940 which includes vat and delivery.
Should be available soon.

Arrives this afternoon!

Keith

Because you just absolutely need multiple boxes to stream!
IMG_0154.jpeg

Twice the cost, takes up twice the space, but of course the sound quality is exponentially better!

The weather here just as gloomy as yesterday, rear shot, Z10 comes with a USB and trigger cable and the ‘smart’ chrome remote.
I have used the USB connection, when you choose ‘USB dac’ on the T8 output goes straight to 100% ( although you can adjust) and the Z10 handles attenuation, trigger cable connected everything works flawlessly which has been my experience with every ‘streamer’ product I have tried AMP-F10 still on probation.
IMG_0155.jpeg

Having the two boxes does increase ( for me) the flexibility, I can have the active speakers connected to the T8, digital/AES out and use the T8 to attenuate and stream, which is a neat one box system.
Roon sees the T8, I can use the Z10 directly connected to my Roon box, TV via its optical and with passive speakers output to my Boxem amplifiers.
Obviously no improvement in SQ but they are smart , the Z10 also has analogue ‘ins’ which might be useful.
if the two components had been the same size that might have been neat,
Keith
