Hi guys,

We've been following the recent announcement of EVE Audio's new EXO Series monitors, which finally replace the SC200 series after 13 years. We thought some of you might find these interesting, especially those who appreciate AMT tweeters.

The technical highlights seem quite promising:
  • New "Precision AMT" tweeters with 24kHz extension (up from 21kHz)
  • Switched from SilverCone to coated aluminium woofers
  • Standardised amplification across all models: dual 140W Class D
  • 2200Hz crossover point
  • Network control via Ethernet with 8-band EQ functionality
  • SPDIF digital input added alongside the standard XLR/RCA
What caught our attention was the amplification - 140W per driver seems rather substantial for the smaller models (the EXO 24 is only a 4" monitor). That's considerably more powerful than comparable models from Genelec (8020D: 50W+50W) or Neumann (KH80: 70W+120W).

The cabinet design is also quite distinctive with its irregular trapezoidal shape and large bass port near the edge.

If you're interested in more details, we've written a more comprehensive analysis here: https://www.exound.co.uk/blogs/news/eve-audio-exo-series-launched

In our listening room, we've often found the SC205s to be surprisingly popular in blind tests. Has anyone here had similar experiences? We're curious if any ASR members plan to audition these new ones when they arrive in July (we don't sell them).

Here are the Comparison Tables for EXO Series / SC200 Series:

Big deep waveguides too. Could be interesting!

1) Who are "we"?
2) Why duplicate threads?

Do they indeed?
1) Exound, an audio company as the tag shows, not a single person, think using "we" should be fitted?

2) More info was released after Superbooth25, as well as the official vid for the new series.

3) At least this was shown on their software screenshot. it seems the EXO was initially treated as MKII of SC200 Series.

Yeah EVE have these for the first time. The cabinet designs look unique as well, comparing with SC200 :D

This does not answer my question. Why duplicate threads?

"Seems"? Based on a screenshot of an unreleased software? Well, to me it doesn't.

P.S. You got the Neumann KH 120 power figures wrong:

Here's the actual figures (not sure where did you get yours):

Just curious about this, does it break any listed rules? Can't find any in terms and rules section

ps. We mean the latest version. Should've wrote KH 120 II, will clarify in the article.

I see. As a side note, the KH 120 II is not a version of KH 120, but rather of the KH 150 (with the same features and electronics and a smaller woofer). And then it would be more logical to compare them together with the HEDD Type 05 MK2 not with the Genelec 8030C, but with the 8330A (which turn out to have the least powerful amplification of the three).

That being said, it would be most interesting to look at the reviews and measurements of the new EVE lineup.

As a user owning SC203, SC205, SC207 & SC407 with SC203, SC205 & SC207 all malfunctioned in 3 years but no response from EVE Audio for support on repairing, I will never buy these craps again...
