(Europe) Master Deals Thread on Audio Product Sales

For small packages - auditorium.de sends 99€+ stuff in EU for free through DHL, and I think they also seem to charge German VAT at 19% (most of EU is higher) - unlike Amazon, which will happily jack up their price based on where you live :) So if you want your WiiM stuff, it's probably cheapest over there.

Amazon does not charge local VAT because it's fun for them but due to EU regulations. As soon as the delivery threshold (10.000 Euro net sales to an EU country) is exceeded, the seller must register in the private customer's country (in that case the VAT rate of the buyer's country is applied - legal fiction), which is of course a given for Amazon but should also be for auditorium in most EU countries.

If they do so, that's called fraud. Hard to believe. Did you go until the payment?

Legislation has changed (mostly thanks to Aliexpress and friends).
VAT from destination country is to be applied from the first Euro and declared/paid to the authorities of the seller's country every trimester. The seller's country will then pay the VAT to destination country. No more need to register above a certain threshold.

that is not compliant with EU directives. they could be in big trouble if caught by tax authorities

I think that's just called negligence...

Yeah, I got to the very end of the payment process where I need to enter my credit card number, the price is entirely the same. But I'm out of money due to non-hifi stuff I had to buy, so no new audio things for me this year. (Damn, those projekt-akustik Revel F36s would have been great in the living room on the auditorium WiiM.)

Sucks.
I suspect the reason is that DHL Germany has introduced a new price tier between 10kg and 31.5kg at 20kg. If you are interested you can send them to me and i send them to you for whatever is the best shipping cost, just PM me.

Anyway, if someone needs a fair pair of headphones that can do LDAC, take EQ well and have ANC and such, here you go, for 50,15€:

I got them for 99€ and thought they where a steal. Make sure to get the 1more Sonoflow, not the SE as they don't have LDAC and miss some other stuff as well.
