The Monoprice THX 887 is on sale, looks like a pretty good discount. (Down to €285.59)

(Original post courtesy of @860lacov )
I would just add that for newsletter subscription I got 10 euros discount so the price was 275.59, and after a buy I got an info message that I can buy this amp for 257 Euros if I do this in 5 minutes.

Amazon Germany sells the Elac 2.0 UB52 for 299€:

Be aware that these seem to have a resonance that manifests itself at higher volumes, it's probably the reason for the price:

Unfortunately, I missed the B-stock sale of the HD599 SE for € 69 a few months ago.
What is the difference between the HD 560S and the HD 599 SE?

It was even cheaper at Amazon FR (like 270€). There's no info about the price being for the pair of unit .Yet, this has to be shipped/packed as a pair, as vast majority of bookshelves. A guy I know ordered one and received a pair as expected. So it was a real -50% deal.

Keep in mind that resonances and issues found in Amir's review sample have been discussed with Andrew Jones.;)

Check this out (high volume warning):

If you buy them, check for the resonance. If there is none, as it seems to be the case for most, fine. Else, send them back.

Definitely not audio related and different definition of good value.

Does it recline at least? Hard to tell

Well, it's main function is letting me sit in the sweet spot, just like the old one that is about to fall apart. But yes, it's not totally related.

Jup.

It depends where you live, but I think that chair would be uncomfortably hot during the summer.
True, that is leather for you.

Barely an audio product, but my old armchair is run down, so i was looking for a new one. I heard the brand Stressless is good value:
View attachment 191684

Here is how to get that one for slightly under 900€ (regular 1400€) in Germany:

For what it's worth; I have a green leather Stressless and it's amazing. These things will last you a lifetime if you take proper care of them. Super comfortable and you can recline all the way to instant dreamland, if you're so inclined. Reclined. :p

Mine was €2000+ back in the day (10+ years ago), so €900 is a good deal, depending on the model and finish.

That is what i heard from a few people. Delivery time is 10 weeks. I ordered 2 weeks ago, so 8 more weeks waiting ...

The cut seems to be different, but leather and frame seems to be the same.

Kef LS50 in black gloss, predecessor to the LS50 Meta (1400€ retail), 700€ a pair, retail is 1300€, but i think it was around 800€ for some time:
LS50 1st gen never costed 1400€/pair. Plus, It is sold at 599€ there for the last 18 months:

;)
Kef Q550 in black, the big brother of the Q350, for 600€ instead of 800€ a pair:

Hi Flanker, what would be a good price for the meta version?
In other words: what's the cheapest you saw them?
