I am a user on this forum , but is first time post for me .
ASR is a very helpful and necessary forum , i can only thank you all for sharing the knowledge .
I would like to ask for your oppinion , i am in UE - Romania .
My current sistem is Denon AVR X3500H , power amplifier Emotiva Basx A300 and some Canton Karat older speakers . My source is PC with foobar for music and MPC HC for home cinema . MPC decodes all new audio formats for movies .
I would like to improve the music part of things . I bought an Aiyima T8 preamp and hooked it up to Emotiva Basx A 300 amplifier , but the Aiyima has low volume Rca output , so really have to crank the volume to get some loder db . When all is connected to the Denon then feed the Emotiva through RCA , no problem , very loud volume . But i have the impression that with Aiyima T8 everything is more clearer, warmer , better in short .
So i would like your help - i have the chance to buy some speakers - KEF R11 (simple not Meta version) dir 2.000 Euro new from a store who liquidates the stock . Or i could buy the Canton 896.2 speakers second hand for 1.400 Euro . And one more option is Wharfedale Linton with stands at 1.000 euro, vut i am not a big fan on esthetics on these ones .
Do any of you have any experience with these ? I dont really have the possibility of listening any of them , our stores are all at the capital city and i live 500 km away .
Also i would like to change my Emotiva AMP with AUDIOPHONICS LPA-S400ET stereo amp . Would that make a difference , is that a good move ? Or should i save a little more and buy the Denon X4800H and not change the Emotiva Amp ?
Where should i improve in your opinnion .
Ohh , i also bought the Umik 1 mic and took measurement with REW , i dont really understand all things
but i did a EQ with REW for my speakers with dr tool curve and i think it made a difference but not really so big . I also have a sub - its homemade but sounds good . I dont really need a sub in music listening , my speakers have that sub on the sides of the speakers , so i have enough bass .
If you know other speakers , musical speakers in this price range i would appreciate your recomandations .
My current room is not ideal for music, but it will be when i move in other location . New room location will be something like 7 meters long and 4.5 meters wide , so big room . That is why i am after parts upgrade in time until i am finished with my main room .
I hope you can give me advise in what should i do next ? Thank you very much and really appreciate all your help .
