Hi, I have 2 2.2 setups that are connected to a Yamaha rn803 stereo receiver, and the other runs on a topping d90/a90 stack. Right now I do my eq by just following the tutorial from Julian Krause. I see many, many different ways now from folks like OCA et al. with stuffs like sub phase alignment, timing, multiple measurements and so on where I’m frankly just lost because their setup and hardware seems different from mine. I’m wondering what’s the best one now for those with traditional, non dsp streamers or receivers.
Feeling tempted to get minidsp flex’s with dirac but I’ll be left with unused gear.

Can you post the link to the tutorial please?

I'm also a Topping owner (D90LE, Pre90 and LA90D) with 2 subs, and so have the same issue. Unfortunately anything other than standard stereo based speaker systems aren't catered for by Topping. In fact their flagship DAC/preamp, the D900 has no sub out and has even removed the RCA outputs so connecting even a single sub to it is not really feasible. Roon ready, room correction, streaming functionality are probably not on their radar, unfortunately. Anyway, rant over.

I had looked at several of the miniDSP options but ended up doing it myself. My subs have phase adjustment from 0 to 180 degrees in 1 degree steps, and the setting up instructions for phase (and gain) were quite easy to follow. After doing this I measured using REW, and implemented EQ at the low frequency end of the spectrum to help with room modes. Could it be better with proper bass management, DIRAC etc., well possibly, but the results I have now are good IMO.
