EQ Advice

Desk setup, front wall, subs under desk, rear wall not damped?
Literally all of the above. It is a desk setup. Speakers are 6" from the front wall and the subs are under the desk. Listening position is 36" from each speaker and the speakers are about 48" apart. The desk is 3'x8'. There is no room treatment of any sort except for bookshelves and a few flags hanging on the front wall.

Maybe also interaction between nearest horizontal surfaces.
I think gated FR show us what is going on from 1kHz up.
Nulls around 2,5kHz are unacceptable.

Also I think there could be few other ripples on mids ( where it seems is allright now ) when the room is more treated - but those may could be very well recognized and EQ by shelfs then.

Try to smooth it by industrial standart 1/3 oct. ;)

...mostly interaction of surfaces around boxes, probably.

I am not expert for studio setup, but I will start by adding some foam around boxes, with comparing gated / non-gated FR.
