End Game Speaker Quest - The Final Chapter

@amirm has no idea unless he can at least (1) hear them and more importantly (2) measure them.

Same as the rest of us

It looks to me like, besides your mains, there are two other speakers... one with two planars and three round cones on the front and two oval cones on the back; and one with two larger round cones on the side and something underneath a grille (an upfiring driver perhaps?) on the top.

Or I could be mistaken about what is what.

Could you enlighten me?
Hey @Duke … sorry, I should have added some detail on the pics. The narrower tower is the center channel (full range cardioid). Other speaker is one of the rear side subwoofer array (cardioid of course) channels with an upfiring coaxial for surround duties.

Congrats, looks much better in real life than in the rendering!

I am too afraid to ask about the shipping cost :p
Shipping cost included in price of speakers. And yes, I am sure it was quite steep

Ok, so I have good news and bad news … the good news is the speakers arrived safe and sound, great pack job by Soundfield and a flawless shipment by Maersk/Pilot (highly recommended for heavy/large freight items).

The speakers look great and the mains are absolutely massive, so much so I just laughed with glee when I first saw them. Pics don’t do them justice, you have to see to believe the shear size.

Now the bad news … I am traveling starting today and will not be able to fire these up until next weekend soonest! Not the best timing, but at least I finally have them! Also, there is no way I can get the mains up to my upstairs listening room, gonna have to find some help with that (they are huge and very heavy, about 200 lbs rough guess). The wait this week gonna kill me, but is what it is. But some pics for your enjoyment in the meantime (sorry for face blackout, I like to keep some level of privacy on the crazy Wild West internet ;)) …

Now that's quite something :)

Best of luck sir with your setup, and as always, measurements or it didn't happen, haha! ;)

WOW, look a bit like modern Von Schwiker{no clue on spelling}. I cover my large speakers in a blanket use a hand cart and tie down to keep them in place, sit my a s s on the steps and pull them up 1 step at a time. Is a good workout and I can usually get done b4 1 of my kids can drive over and help. My dsp8000 lowers are 225 each! and I think i had my wife hold the handle while I pushed/lifted them, again 1 step at a time.

Congrats, no doubt you're going to love these.

Thank you sir. Pseudo anechoic measurement of the mains done by Soundfield further up in the thread. Once I get everything setup and dialed in will provide in room measurements

Yeah, I expect I will need to get creative to get these upstairs!

@MKR So, 30 000$ per all of speakers or only L plus R? Yeah, I will answer to myself, per all :) Theoretically a lot of money, but it's complex system also for multi-channel music, movies and games - if you play, so really good price I think :)

Only that he has been trolling my threads here on ASR literally for years, under several monikers, and that was Soundfield outing him. As a result he got banned from ASR, again. Hopefully it sticks this time, he is persistent :(

Yes sir, $30k for all. And yup, a lot of money by any standard, but in the crazy pricing land of high end audio, a relative bargain for what I am getting. Of course Soundfield sells direct, would be much higher pricing if through retail channel (and in fact if that were the case would have been way over my budget)

I think you got a good deal. Hard to see how you could do what you want to do, properly, for much less.

Have you installed hinges connecting your roof to your walls yet so it can settle back down after you blow it off?
I'm so jealous :)
LOL … yeah, these might cause some structural damage  … and I still have yet to get the ULF sub (will place directly behind MLP).
