I’m planning on selling my XMC2 and getting the AV20 so I can get DLBC and ART - this was what I was hoping to get with Emotiva when they first integrated with Dirac.
Good plan! I've had my AV20 for around 3 months now and it's running flawlessly here. I'm still working on Audyssey and a couple of it's variations right now.
When I get finished with that I will download the trial version of ART to test before committing $1k to it's purchase..

I was just made aware of the MiniDSP processor as well but the AV20 resonates with me because of the high performance. Marantz also released the AV30 but it’s watered down, that’s not my cup of tea.

It’s nice to see ART being available more and more.

I felt the same way. I was thinking about waiting for the AV30 but it was this post here at ASR that swayed me.
The different DAC's and layout of such nailed me. Maybe not an audible issue ? but "once you know, you know".
Just for schitts and giggles, I do hope @amirm gets a shot at measuring both the AV20 and AV30, I regret not having my AV20 dropped shipped to him.
I was just too damn much in a hurry to do that, Sorry bud.

Yes that’ll be very helpful if these get measured here.

I agree, also the AV10 and AV20 mainly differ in channel count and whatever little thing that the AV10 has vs the AV30 that at least on paper is a bigger drop off. If the AV30 was more in the $2,500-$3,000 range that would give me enough to think about it. But at $4,000 it’s only $2k more for the AV20…over time this is nothing. AV20 is the sweet spot imho, good job!

I was tempted by the AV20 but the reports are that this is the older HDMI chipset that does not support QMS-VRR.
QMS-VRR is supported on my RMC-1 and it works well. On rare occasions, it has not audio but that is fixed by changing inputs.
To be fair, I have also had this problem on my Denon 3700.
