Hi there. I'd like a mic that can ideally measure down into the 20hz range, high spl and halfway accurate up to 20khz. I've seen the EM258 recommended a lot, and I'm finally buying a measurement mic. Only to see the data sheet lists a 115dB max SPL - which is a little too low to see what I can squeeze out of a big dayton 15" I'm planning on building (winISD says 115dB at 25hz, with room gain I'll be in the 120dBs right down in that 20-25hz range). Their EM273 however lists 135dB max SPL

But does anyone have experience with running these mics that low or loud? And has anyone tried EM273-based mics out? Thanks!
