Specs don't say much but would love to see some measurements

Anyway, I am happy to see such a device on the market, they are becoming unicorns unfortunately....

Without knowing about the noise and distortion, it's frustrating to say the least. Odd they don't publish them.

[Kal Rubinson]

• "48 kHz, 32-bit D/A converters" OK for Atmos.

noise and distortion

Noise is mentioned in the manual (https://www.elektron.se/support-downloads/outbox-8):

S/N ratio: 105.5 dB(A) re +13 dBu, 20 kHz BW

[drumphil]

Specifically designed to output CV (control voltage) to control synthesisers. It's even listed in the synthesizer peripherals section of the site.

I suppose you could use it for a 7.1 surround system or something, but that's not really why this exists.

Guys that build active speakers need multi-output DACs. A friend has a nice one from Steinberg, but it's not cheap.
