Electronica/dance/techno/et cetera.

Top tune.
One of my favourite live bands (ever) is Tackhead. They were the NY based session musicians for Sugarhill Records who played on this, plus a huge selection of the best OG NY hip hop from the late 70's and 80s .
They then hooked up with London based dub producer Adrian Sherwood in the mid 80s to form Tackhead. Proper funk with live dub mix from Sherwood on the desk (think updated dubbed out Funkadelic). 80s/90s Retrofunk.

I love Tackhead, and lots of other On U Sound acts. I'm very partial to the Tackhead Tape Time album, there is such punch on the percussion.

The full video of the talented and very esoteric Fever Ray playing at Sydney Opera House

New Carl Craig house/techno mix, such a good listen

And a new release from Darkside (Nicolás Jaar/Dave Harrington) , taken from their new album out on 28th February, this will be a contender for album of the year for myself

Neat. Carl Craig is my all time fav Detroiter. Still going strong! But mixing in a hat so you can't wear proper headphones? I don't know...

I saw him a few times. Also playing in some kind of electronic jazz fusion live band.

Holy fucking shit in the name of the global bass gods of thunder!

Needless to say, it's Friday night, and my neighbours still hate me lots. At least they didn't call the Polizei yet! ;)

Trying to be a little bit helpful now, finding something nice for you and your neighbours...

Dean Grenier - Individuate

God damn Infected Mushroom really was awesome back in the days! Just listen to that synth towards the end, it's such a trip!

Yay :D Kiasmos live on KEXP

Recently found this set. Looks like the kids rediscovered 90's trance. Love it. Takes them a couple minutes to get going, but then they absolutely kill it for the next 20 minutes. They are adorable to watch.

Last half of set falls apart in my opinion, so just skip it.

The sublime Thylacine in concert, there’s soooo much good music appearing so far this year that I feel gluttonous with my consumption :D
