Guys? What do you think about Edifier S3000 MKII speakers? Will it be an upgrade over Edifier S2000 MKIII? Bass, sound clarity, etc.? I want to use them for PC. I was thinking also about the Adam T8V but I don’t know if they sound better than S3000 MKII.

No question, Adam makes better speakers than Edifier.

See for example the horrible distortion of the S2000 Pro:

ok, but S3000 MKII is a different model. Is there any review of distortion of S3000 MKII?

Edifier products are hit or miss.

for US$200ea the S1000mk2 comes with solid cabinets with >3/4” MDF, baffles with some diffraction control, internal chamfers, a poly coated alu cone midwoofer, a 1” alu dome tweeter, 2 amplifiers per speaker, DSP for equalization, tone controls and crossover functions, a remote control, 2 analog inputs, 2 digital inputs and Bluetooth for connection to mobile devices…

street price sometimes $120 ea…

It would help to say what this is

Wow. Paul (professional mixing egineer) says these are best out of the bunch to work with (even though they are not officially studio monitors).

.very interestingvideo talking about his experiences working with bunch of speakers.

planar tweeter and 6.5 aluminum driver..

i wonder why these are not more talked about?

630 euros.

i hope someone will measure them one day.

Just adding for anyone who comes along this later; these plots might be inaccurate. Amir said after measurements and during listening tests he had to adjust input gain and monitor gain and this reduced audible distortion substantially and made the speaker a lot better at representing dynamics. They still likely don't measure very well, but they didn't end up being entirely unusable like these plots show.

I would say the 86db plot is probably more representative of what the speaker does at 90db or more. But in truth, there's no way to know.
