I am looking for an economic power amp to pair with my Wiim Ultra that doesn't cost the earth.

I have it in my head that I'd like a class D amp like the range of amps based on the TPA3255 but with a bit more power handling, say 100W+ into 8ohms, something like the offerings from Hypex or Purifi but at a lower cost. Stereo or Mono blocks.

Whilst I could build something from modules I'd rather not, I'm getting lazy in my old age. (unless the price is such that I can't say no!)

Any one seen such a thing?

120W at 8Ω.

Thank you staticV3 It’s been a while since I first read Amir’s review, I didn’t realise it did 100W+

what about similar specs and price but stereo? I'm looking for one too.

With my limited knowledge and means I measured the power output of a Fosi Audio V3 (stereo).
The power source was 48VDC/5Amp.
I generate (Audacity) a stereo track of 1000 Hz at 0db ( 15 seconds length + fade in and out)
I connected the amp to 2 resistors 8 Ohm (500W each), played the track and measured 33.8V/33.7V for left/right channels (driven simultaneously).
This mean 142.8/142.0 watts.
The data sheet of the tpa3255 says:
• Total Output Power at 10%THD+N– 315-W Stereo into 4 Ω in BTL Configuration– 185-W Stereo into 8 Ω in BTL Configuration– 600-W Mono into 2 Ω in PBTL Configuration• Total Output Power at 1%THD+N– 260-W Stereo into 4 Ω in BTL Configuration– 150-W Stereo into 8 Ω in BTL Configuration– 480-W Mono into 2 Ω in PBTL Configuration
