Yes I saw that too... unfortunately this DAC is not doing a good job at translating and it seems it's deaf in one ear, even though it's Earman. Maybe if both channels worked it would be Earsman?

slow filter is very popular amongst many "audiophiles", who care more about weight and looks of DAC and care less about measurements.

LOL. If both channels were working properly, this unit would probably have been considered a top notch performer 4-5 years ago, and at $750 worth every penny. Amazing how the bar has been raised in this segment.

not top notch even 4 to 5 years ago. 106db sinad is low even by 4 -5 years back standards.

Leaving aside the broken RCA, I see no good reason for this product to exist. It doesnt have the mystique of DACs like the VMV D3 and its unobtanium chips, its not got the performance of the D90 and its ilk and if I was taking a punt on a relatively unknown brand and untested design, I wouldnt bet £700. I think @Hapo quoted some of the company blurb about this on another thread and it was the usual schtick. Probably a reason they didnt publish the measurements

Annyway, traduttore is translator in English, I guess tradutto got lost in transaltion, same as some bits of data...

I wonder how long ago this product was conceived and designed? As someone said above, several years ago this would have been pretty good (good enough as the earlier Schiit dacs were and maybe then some on top to help justify the premium)

Maybe the 4.4mm balanced output is not to be confused with a 6.3mm headphone style socket?

The casework I can understrand now, as many peeps I know absolutely LOATHE the cheap bent metal cases in low cost products (or the generic DIY boxes in others) and would prefer something milled-from-solid despite the waste of resources (Linn make a huge thing of it in their now hugely overpriced - in my opinion - electronics).

Things have moved on, so products like this are looking like dinosaurs now. Hope the review unit can be sent back for a refund as faulty!

What Italian?? Tradotto means translated, tradotta means a rail line for exclusive use by military, traduttore means translator…tradutto only rhymes with rutto (a loud burp)…

they should have at least advertised it as R2R dac, even if falsely. and then many would have come to rescue as usual !
