Hi,
I'd like to share a tool I developed: Early Reflection Locator.
Finding first reflection points with the mirror method typically requires two people — technically doable solo, but awkward and time-consuming. REW, while powerful, doesn't show reflection points geometrically either.
This tool fills that gap.
Enter your room dimensions, speaker positions, and listening position — it instantly calculates all first reflection points and plots them on a 2D floor plan using the mirror image (specular reflection) method.
The trial version is free and displays reflection paths on a floor plan. The full version ($9) adds coordinates (cm), delay times (ms), hover tooltips per reflection point, and a printable A4 report including SBIR dip frequency estimates (c/4d).
Scope: geometric acoustics only — no diffraction, no modal behavior. Designed as a planning aid for absorption panel placement, not a substitute for measurement.
Single HTML file. Fully offline. No dependencies.
