Can you change samplerate when not REW has it in exclusive mode and RME equipment are disconected?

I want to use ASCiso in other contexts than REW and I am not able to change the sample rates in Windows settings.
Also, I’ve been reading about that REW error message and it suggests that I need to change the sample rate in Windows audio settings - which I cannot.

Windows lists all supported sample rates and bit depths properly but I cannot make any changing, I get an error message and I’m stuck on 44.1kHz. That’s with or without Comtrue driver.
For example if I want to change to 48kHz:

It’s a bit of a bummer to be stuck at 44.1kHz to say the least.
Usually, you can select everything from 16/44.1 to 32/384 in the Sound Control Panel.

Have you tried plugging your Cosmos into another Windows/macOS/Linux machine?
Does this behavior carry over?

If so, then a hardware/firmware issue is likely.

If not, then it's likely a software/configuration issue.

The RME driver might make it sticky ;) 1766078176363.png

And Windows blame the ADCiso when trying to change windows ADCiso samplerate

Function like a charm if RME samplerate and Jave samplerate match and no fidling with Windows samplerate

But my balance slider works. Stereo from 0 to 6. RIIA from 7 to 18. Mono from 19 to 100

Thank you guys for your different suggestions.

- I've tried to unplug my RME DAC but same problem.

- On the same PC, I've used an old Windows 10 disk that I kept, booted on that, and everything worked OK, I was able to change the sample rate in Windows options, and the Java Exclusive mode.

So something is not exactly right with my Windows 11 setup.

@IVX thanks for the firmware. Are there any particular changes compared to v13 that we need to know in this v14?

When I added that pin-spdif to the Cosmos ADC FW, no one reported that using it. So, we can see how many users need that.
I will be using the SPDIF capability.
Just to make sure: it’s the SPDIF GPIO that is connected to the MCLK pin, right? Not the Master Clock?

Thanks will try as soon as I receive my SPDIF board (in a few days hopefully).
