Double ADC chips, 3db up to the DR and 2db better THD+N(better than -127db for grade 0), a bit different frontend makes lower h2(from 8 units no one higher than -150db), and h3 too, especially at 10kHz(-126db). Built-in thermostat, controllable with Tweak_CosmosDM.exe, which got DC control as well. Improved low-frequency jitter, 10Hz and lower.

E1DA is a very small company and we are fortunate to have @IVX participating on ASR.

For the Cosmos A to D they are individually tested and "binned out," separated into performance grades. That takes time.

I am not a fan of the Discord platform, but new E1DA news comes out there before ASR.

I, and many, have E1DA A to D and D to A ordered by their normal channel.

Patience as manufacturing ramps up in a sustainable business way.

BTW, I finally measured the crosstalk for Cosmos DM and found nothing at 1000Hz, i.e I see -165db floor and no crosstalk at all. So I updated the specs as: Crosstalk: < -160db@1kHz if not used inputs are shorted

I found the first B/0 unit, and as promised, B chip was replaced with another 0 chip. So, we got the first grade 0 DM. Rch harmonics stellar! Lch just ok.

Another unit from my bench. Due to DM using 2 9822 chips, the final harmonics distribution is never the same for L and R channels. Anyway, the new frontend is cleaner, I never saw THD -143db with ADCiso.

Hence, to get a perfect combo of noise and harmonics for L and R simultaneously, you really need to select 2 chips from 20-50pcs.

That’s a massive sorting job! Do you have a test bench for quickly checking them?
It would be simpler if the company tested and graded them in-house during production, as was the case with parallel DAC chips.

No, I have no such plans. The only case when I replace ADC chips to sort is a rare combo 0/B. When I find a couple of units with one channel grade 0 but another grade B, I'll replace B-chip for 0-chip to get 1pcs grade 0 unit and 1pcs grade B unit.

About 50pcs of DM were tested, as predicted, and no native grade 0/0 was found. 2pcs very close(131.9db(A)).

We've been selling DM for a couple of weeks, but we've already got 2 "bad units". The first one was reported by a Chinese user, he didn't let the device warm up, and decided that the noise level too high. Next, he changed my calibration coefficients and got DR 100db(A) instead of 130.7db(A). Fortunately, I live 40 km away and got the unit the next day, recalibrated it again - no problem.
The second case with a Korean user. He complained that the ADC completely doesn't work, asked for a money-back, and sent pics where there is only one USB cable plugged into the ADC i.e. the ADC isn't powered On.
Guys, please read a little about the product before you buy it.

Our Discord member guycohen_ has noticed an incorrect noise calculation in the latest REW version using the APU calibration file! Be aware.
The older REW shows THD+N -126db vs -120db with the latest one.

Ivan, I am currently just powering the Scaler and ADC DM with some 5v3a phone chargers. Would you recommend some stable power adapters?

In most cases iphone/adroid adapters are fine. If you suspect the results of your tests, try a power bank.

Thanks. I am not looking for anything too fancy just thought something like the CUI medical grade power supply for $30 might be a bit more reliable for lower noise/current leaks…
