Dysons new headphones

ohh and I only buy headphones that go below 20 hz
Plenty of those can be found... they don't fit on/in elephant ears though. :(
For closed front volume over-ears and well sealing in-ears below 10Hz is not an issue. It just isn't in recordings and when it does it has no relation to the music, :)

Cant wait to feel the 6hz vibrating my head. lol

Also not quite sure why I would want to hear 21,000hz shriek.

In regards to tuning, all these Bluetooth headphones have DSP so i expect all of them to have proper sound. Most of them have some basic EQ in the app, Dyson does as well.
A: Frequency range numbers should be accompanied by cutoff points. For all we know it is the usual -10 or -20dB.
B: There are plenty of headphones that go a lot higher.
C: 21kHz at -10dB may well be audible where as 21kHz with -3dB and steep drop of may not be audible.
D: 21kHz with some huge ringing at 15kHz is not as good as flat response all the way up to 21kHz.
E: Most music is coming from CD quality or lower so having an extension to at least 21kHz makes sense (if -1dB or so) from a fidelity p.o.v.

I was just goofing around:)
I find these sorts of numbers to be unrelated to performance and very much when you take into account human hearing capabilities.
It’s the same sort of thing at the other end of the spectrum where I’ve seen loads of discussion about sound quality north of 20k…yet the only instruments I can think of that exude sound in these regions are something like Gamelan percussion.
I guess I am more interested in sound that I can actually hear.

I did get your point and agree. The usual 'frequency response' numbers really don't say anything unless cut-off points are given (and the standard it is measured against) and or a plot is shown, again with reference to a standard.

The only specs that (in most cases) can be sort of trusted are impedance (and often even these are wrong) and perhaps weight.

And it really does look like their goofy vacuum cleaners. What a surprising thing to want to model as a fashion statement.
Looks like they are customizable, and that you can choose from various different cup cover and pad colors.

You can currently choose from four colour combinations, CNC Copper, CNC Aluminium, CNC Black Nickel and Ceramic Cinnabar, of which the latter two are exclusive to Dyson.

It does it seems, but very basic indeed.

Dyson OnTrac™ headphones feature three preset EQ levels controlled in the MyDyson™ app – Bass boost, Enhanced and Neutral. Balanced by our audio engineers for ideal listening to a range of genres.

Paid premium for a Dyson vacuum cleaner which was rubbish and replaced with a much cheaper Henry Hoover. Bought a Dyson fan - same result - disappointing and poor value/cheaply made.

It seems to me that the Dyson value proposition is to market expensive engineering solutions to problems that don't need solving or have much cheaper solutions !

I'm going to assume their headphone are the same until measurements say otherwise !

Haha. Lol. Like my Dyson when it's in thermal protection, the filter is plugged or it's full of dog hair.
Was tidying up after some filling and painting in the house - our Dyson just couldn't handle a bit of dust from rubbing back the filler. Just stopped working - we had to go and buy a cheapy hoover just to get the house cleaned up.

Over priced , felt really cheap , flakey , expensive to replace the batteries.

I think Dyson's adventure into the headphone business didn't happen in a vacuum
Maybe not - but I think they are taking their customers to the cleaners. :p

On that early Spring day, as Brittany stepped out of the local Pull&Bear, rushing towards her Uber, she stopped dead in her tracks. The Dyson OnTrac laid out the subtle sonic pallette of Genocide Organ's 'Leichenlinie' right before her, with every shriek as palpable as Jason's sun-kissed skin had been the other night... Every droning burp of the synthesizer as piercing as his fiery kisses on her neck... 'Is this Soho, or is this Vorkuta?', she kept asking herself, motionless. The Uber driver started flashing his lights and waving at her nervously.
