Dyson has a new headphone called OnTrac. Their marketing claims: "Custom-built 40mm, 16-ohm neodymium speaker drivers deliver an expanded frequency range, to reveal expanded sub-bass and high-end brilliance, for a richer experience from every note. Most headphones operate on a frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hertz. Our technology expands that range, from 6 Hertz at the low end to 21,000 Hertz at the top."

What a load of nonsense.

Still, Dyson's first headphone ("Zone") had surprisingly good tuning, so the OnTrac could actually be worthwhile:

Cant wait to feel the 6hz vibrating my head. lol

Also not quite sure why I would want to hear 21,000hz shriek.

In regards to tuning, all these Bluetooth headphones have DSP so i expect all of them to have proper sound. Most of them have some basic EQ in the app, Dyson does as well.

Often the EQ in these apps are poor (e.g. the Sonos Ace only had basic Bass and Treble) but I agree this might be a very good headphone.

Though it looks 'heavy' in the video - there is a reason lots of ANC headphone use plastic.

451g and might be heavier with the custom CNC cups. Will give your neck a good workout!

Same weight as Focal Clear, 150gr lighter than LCD4.
But... not a lightweight headphone, most headphones usually weigh between 220 and 350 gram.

I followed the Dyson link. But the obnoxious webpage with its lack of information will make me not go to Dyson (for anything) ever again.

I kinda like the colourful design although it doesn’t look all that comfortable to me.
Dyson making headphones isn’t that weird though. Yamaha makes a lot of crazy things including headphones.
I’d be surprised if they are any good, but then again Aune just made their very first headphone and it absolutely rocks. Perhaps this Dyson won’t suck?

Edith: ohh and I only buy headphones that go below 20 hz, of course! My father is an elephant.

I’m interested in the pads, they look good. Anything else out there with similar stuff?

The ear pads or the headband cushion pads?

Please be more specific. Do you mean the ability to mix and match colors?
The ear pad material looks interesting. It looks like they could provide a very comfortable and good seal. I haven’t seen it before.

Search for Dekoni and ZMF velours and suedes, they might be similar.

The HarmonicDyne Athena, from YT reviewer ZeosPantera, comes with such pads:

"OMG! That 6 Hz just made me crap my pants!"

"Why yes ... yes, I am a mouth breather! Why do you ask?"
